I recently bought this guitar and it arrived nearly flawless right out of the box. I looked it over with a microscope, even the wiring, and couldn't find a single finish or build issue. With a quick adjustment on tuning, she was ready to go! Even the action was nice and low right out of the box and the nut was cut perfectly. The stock pickups, to me, leave a little to be desired for versatility but other than that she plays like a dream and easily handles like a guitar costing twice its price. The one downside for me was the top. Some photos of this guitar represent a highly figured Spalted Maple with some flame coming through, well... mine was neither, and that can be expected when doing a blind purchase for a guitar having a figured top (you get what's sent to you). I just hoped the one I got was more figured but that's okay because it's still a beautiful guitar regardless. Other than that the guitar is awesome, one I highly recommend. You can't beat the quality and features Schecter is putting out at their price point. Coming from a non-LTD real ESP, this guitar is every bit of being just as good on every level at a fraction of the cost... no joke.
Sound
This guitar can handle pretty much any genre of music but the pickups are more geared towards heavier styles of music, in my opinion.
Features
It comes with a good XL nut, Schecter locking tuners, Wilkinson 2-point tremolo, graphite-reinforced neck, 1 volume, 1 tone, and 2-way toggle for coil splitting, cream binding on the body, neck, and matching headstock. All of these features are nice to have on a higher-tier guitar, especially at this price.
Ease of Use
The guitar plays like butter. The neck is very comfortable, not too slim, not too thick. Overall it sounds fantastic and can play anything you throw at it, but the stock G&B 78s, to me, leave a bit to be desired but I'm picky when it comes to pickups.
Quality
It's built extremely well and feels like a custom shop guitar in my hands. I looked it over with eagle eyes and did not find one issue with the finish or build quality.
Value
This guitar is worth well above what it's selling for. Hands down.
Manufacturer Support
I've never had to reach out to Schecter for any type of support.
The Wow Factor
It's a beautiful guitar to look at, although others report their top is more figured while some report theirs is less figured than the one I received. Regardless, it's still going to be a looker either way on both the front and backside. The back of the neck showing the purple heart lines within the wood is beautiful, as well as the visual figured mahogany on the backside of the body.

I have owned this guitar for 3 yrs. now and it is one of my go to favs. I am experienced guitarist (over 30 yrs. bands, studio, composition, etc.). I have numerous guitars - Gibsons (2 keeper LP's), 3 Fender Am. strats, 3 teles (one an Am. Schecter PT), PRS, etc. with OEM and after market PUs. This C1 Exotic is extremely playable, great fretboard, light and well balanced. The spalted top looks great (mine has good flame as well). I like the stock PU's. Not a shredder or dive bomber so cant say much about trem bridge. Guitar stays in tune. I play rock, blues, jazz, contemp. christian.

Schecter C1 Exotic Guitar Customer Review

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Its one of those guitars you wouldnt consider buying without a sale. But it looks sweet, and with some after market accessories its great
Sound
The Scbecter pickups arent fantastic, but when you put on a set of EMG's they sound a lot better.
Features
The features were satisfactory, but you need a floyd rose and those EMGs
Ease of Use
Easy to play, and looks sweet.
Quality
a lot of dough for not a lot of features
Value
Not quite worth the 1200 sticker, but a nice guitar for the money
Manufacturer Support
No experience with the support
The Wow Factor
