Compared to my more expensive Sampson monitors these are not on the same level, but as others have said, when you take them for what they are ($100 speakers) they really do meet expectations. It's true that the bass has that exaggerated boominess you might expect from such a small speaker trying to do it all, and the highs are somewhat subdued, but that n my case I already had an MTX sub from a homes stereo from years ago that has a crossover built in which made a big difference. It would be best to combine with something like that but ok to start with just these little guys for moderate sound level monitoring. For a "kitchen" monitor set I am happy. They sound good playing music and running my acoustic guitar as long as I'm reasonable with the volume. The Bluetooth feature and 1/8" input expand their usefulness even further. It is crazy that between these, a little sub with x-over, a pair of beringer headphones and a beringer q502 USB mixer connected to a cheap laptop running free software you have a mini studio for just a few hundred bucks that we were paying a bunch of money to come close to 10 years ago. Getting old as hell isnt that bad when you think of it like that. Cheers!!

Bought these speakers to use for my dj controller at home to practice. The speakers sound amazing. They are very clear with really good low end for there size. They are built nice and solid and the bluetooth connection was bery easy to connect and works flawlessly. I am very happy with this purchase.

I must say that these lil Samsons are great. I am not really used to such good bottom end from like, 3" woofers! As comparison monitors these are superb. I'm adding M Audio BX8 mains as soon as I move to a purpose made studio space.

Musical Background:

Recording music mainly.
