"Amazing"
I bought the bass 20xl for practice with the new band, as my 500w amp is still being shipped. One week ago, I played with the band at a small pub and thought I'd run the amp through the desk. But after the initial sound check, I noticed that the amp kept up on it's own and didn't need to be hooked up to the desk.
In short, we played covers all night and the 20xl cut through the mix convincingly and without distorting. This is the loudest and truest 20 watt amp I have ever heard.
I certainly will not need to take my 500w amp to most small gigs now. The 20xl will do the job well on its own.

I'm a great grand mother who needed a light but strong bass amp. This one has the sound of a much larger amp without the weight. My husband was skeptical but after playing through this amp one time he was sold too. I would recommend it to any one no exceptions. I've used it for my acoustic bass as well as the electric and it's great for that one also. For the price it's the BOMB! For me it's all pros...no cons.

As a beginner, I wasn't sure what I needed in regards to an amplifier. My days are filled with hours of indoor practice and I needed the sound to remain inside my house. This amplifier is a winner. It has more features than I can figure out right now and the power is more than enough for indoor play. Quality is A+ on this product.

"Great amp for the price."
Would replace it with a bigger Roland Cube

I just started, but the sound from this amp is a lot better then the Crate. Not even close

Al the different knobs they have on there, gives you a variety of sounds to choose from.
Ease of Use
I'm sure a seasoned vet wound have no problem tweaking it , but like I said before I just started so it was all new to me.
Value
I took my brothers advice and bought a Roland 20XL amp the first time, for a beginner like myself. He said get a better amp then guitar. I got a used Ibanez bass/Crate amp after that, plugged in the Crate once, and went back to using the Roland with both guitars I have now.

I've yet to turn on this little amp so this will only be about the purchase experience and what I see. I like this amp because of all the neat features. I have a larger amp so this one goes into my bedroom. I only wish it came with a cover (can't find one other than a custom shop), a pair of headphones and a few other accessories like a foot pedal. Note: another site offered a few accessories for the same price.I wanted a few other items for my bass guitar but didn't have the cash. With zZsounds easy pays I was able to get the amp and the other accessories I wanted now. That's great! Orders are fulfilled in a timely manner and the packaging was good.I have not needed to contact customer support but I suspect it is great too!
