"Excellent Sounding 18 Inch Subwoofer, a Beast and simply amazing"

Sound is subjective and some like hard hitting bass, others like hifi sounding smooth bass. In my opinion depending on the setting and application, this sub accomplishes both very well. This Subwoofer really impressed me. It is not inexpensive, but the money is well worth it. It is not plug and play like others in the 1600 dollar and below range so, I can understand why some first impressions are not positive. This sub is meant for a more seasoned user who will be doing live sound with delays or dj who is familiar with crossover slopes and so forth. The best setting for this for playback music is L2 when using 15 inch tops with the crossover engaged. L3 when using a 12 inch top with playback music with the crossover engaged. For live sound, use H2 with a 15 inch top or h3 with a 12 inch top both with the crossover engaged. The bass response is massive with these subs and super smooth. When you have them in the L setting, the limiter light will come on occasionally, but these speakers have several layers of circuit protection through its dynamic limiter and DSP so they keep going all night without any issues. The sound is also not affected like other manufactures with hard limiters that make their subs output really drop when the limiters come on. The amp also stays super cool for a sub without fans. I play latin, hip hop reggae, rock, and top 40 through these and they sound rock solid. I recommend to anyone looking to upgrade to a professional sub with additional features with super low and powerful bass.

I'm DJ Greg Wats of the ALL VINYL SHOW and I must say, RCF 8003 AS is worth every Nickel. I play from the old school R&B to the hard hitting Bass of Hip Hop on vinyl. RCF has made a great product that will wow you from the first BOOM! I'd suggest if you want to feel the music and wow the crowd, small or large. Get the RCF hands down.

Bought a pair of these subs and have mixed feelings about them. They sound beautiful but do not get very loud before the limit lights starts to flash.

"Rcf 8003"

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I purchased one as an experiment and wasn't pleased with its overall performance. It had great sound but at a very low level. When i tried to get more out of it the clip signal became prominent. I ended up blowing the woofer wich is not under warranty. I replaced it with the rcf p300 woofer wich gave me a little more bang but im still not happy

I have had RCF for a long time so having had older models of this speaker thought I knew what I was getting. sirca 4Pro 8003 as but holy god this Subwoofer is a beast I see reviews that say the clip or other none sense. Its never happen to me and I push them hard in a room that hold 600 people with my 735mk4 and a set of 712mk4 for side fill the bass was amazing the DSP system on the sub made me eliminate my DriveRack I have no use for it overall a great buy worth every sent .

tested the RCF 8003 sub on new year's eve. Not impressed. Very disappointing considering it's made in Italy and very pricy. Does not produce enough sound pressure and the red clip light starts blinking right away at a moderate volume level
