I've played a Hagstrom since 1965 and was sure the world would never build a better playing guitar, the P44 is right on par with that old Swedish craftmanship and I doubt I'll live long enough for anyone to create something better. I've tried lots of other brands over the years and none stood up to comparison, oh they were good but not as good for down right playing. It's just hard to improve upon perfection. You could change the pickups to any of the 6000 different ones they make today if you NEED some different specific sound I guess, but you couldn't put them on a better guitar. If this got stolen or destroyed I would rush right out and get a new one.
Sound
The sound is amazing and that's because of the wood. Sometimes I play it unplugged just to feel the sound and I do mean feel it, the whole guitar vibrates with tone. But plug it in and the sound explodes out of the speakers.
Features
I really like the pickups, all three of them, the sounds you can create are amazing. And I've never found another guitar brand that can do the same.
Ease of Use
Take a few minutes to read the instructions and you are off on the adventure of a lifetime. Or just jump right in a go exploring. It's not complicated but does offer a wide variety of sounds when you learn the controls, takes about 2 minutes or less. Playability is incredible
Quality
Excellent workman ship excellent quality of everything. And I've had it long enough to have banged it around a bit knocked it over and dropped it once or twice without anything going wrong, just pick it up and start playing again. It's one of the most beautiful guitars I've owned, flawless finish, incredible tone wood in the body. I get the feeling you wuold really have to work at hurting it to make it unplayable.
Value
Even at the full suggested retail price this is more than worth it, you could spend a thousand or two more but I don't think you would be getting anything better.
Manufacturer Support
I wrote them a few times and got answers back by the next day or sooner. They seem dedicated to being there and doing the right thing, making happy guitar players.
The Wow Factor
This is not a run of the mill fender knock off like almost everything out there, you either like it or you don't, me I really like it. Why would you want ordinary when you could have a Parker is beyond me. It has SEX appeal, you can hold it caress it it feels so good, and it loves you back.

"PARKER IS MY MUSE!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I have owned it for about 5 months now and let me put it this way, i just sold my 1996 american telecaster deluxe 50th anniversary in order to upgrade the pickups on my parker and possibly buy another! it is that good! Versatility is the name of the game with this guitar, but you can also dial in some very unique and interesting sounds, and it plays very well with a professional set up! Great guitar, my main axe from now on!! Thank you parker, youve created my muse.
Sound
The sound of the guitar is very pliable. It is able to do many sounds and do them well. dont think, however , that it is going to do staight strat or les paul sounds, it has its own unique character (which is a great thing). the stock pickups come off as a tad bit weak, but for the price there is nothing better. (an lollar, fralin, duncan etc. upgrade will easily put this guitar in the upper range of quality as far as sound goes!)
Features
More than i could ask for! it bewilders me that this company isnt more popular. they offer top quality (equal or better to/than american fender and better than 99% of gibsons)for a much much lower price. i cant imagine how good parkers top quality guitars are. this guitar is missing nothing. from tone, volume, piezo, coil tap, whammy bar, what else could one ask for on a guitar under $1000?
Ease of Use
Even with all the pickup combinations available and all the bells and whistles, it is still very easy to get around and get the sound you want. The neck for me is a great fit (this is very subjective to the user). great playing guitar!
Quality
Parker is known for making top quality guitars, barre none. This will be no exception. The woods are quality, the design is well thought out, the fit and finish is detailed as needed and the setup from factory was more than decent. however i would advise any new guitar owner to either take some time and set their guitar up to their preference or go to a guitar tech, it is well worth the time and money to get a setup on a new guitar.
Value
THE BEST BUY FOR THE MONEY ON THE GUITAR MARKET TODAY!!!!!!!!
Manufacturer Support
From other reviews and some personal experience parker is great at getting back to emails. great company to support and buy from.
The Wow Factor
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My opinion is that i think this guitar has tons of sex appeal and is carved like a ferrari. It looks fast, plays fast, and is comfortable to play. Sleek, slender, and sexy!

"The guitar that god built"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

The rest of my life.
Sound
I love the playablity of this guitar. I have found it produces amazing sustain and smooth, even tones for highs, mids, and lows. My only concern is every once in a while youll hear a buzz on the G string, but its nothing that gets picked up by the amp.
Features
The Acoustic setting is nice and incredibly convinent. Only concern is the 9V battery in the back, which is hard to get to and dies frequently.
Ease of Use
I think this guitar is more of an aquired taste, with the smaller fretboard and light body. But once you get used to it, you cant put it down.
Quality
I have never owned a nicer guitar, and I believe this guitar can stand up to some of todays top notch guitars. Its a good live guitar, because the sound never fails you, and in the studio your range of sonic capabilites are endless.
Value
Everytime i play it, i can thelp but think i underpayed by 2,000 dollars. Its just so nice and perfect, I couldnt ask for more.
Manufacturer Support
Ive only had to ask a few questions, and the guys at Parker were great.
The Wow Factor
Everyone i know gives me compliments on my guitar, Its body is so oddly but cooly shaped and the sound is,for lack of a better word, orgasmic.

"Awesome guitar for a great price"

I plan to keep it for ever. Or until I buy a parker fly mojo. I would have liked to see this as thin as the fly's but oh well.
Sound
This guitar sounds great, I have a les paul and an acoustic ovation that will be going on ebay....This guitar will replace both.
Features
What other guitars off so many features peizo p/ups, regular and active pickups, three guitars in one. wow
Ease of Use
Knobs are not like other guitars so I had to use the book to figure out the settings. But the 30 seconds that it took to look it up was worth it.
Quality
I looked at two at the store. One had divits in the fretbord and looked like laquer was peeeling off.the second one was flawless, thats at my home right now.
Value
Awesome price for a guitar of this quality. Unlike GIbson where epiphones are just as good and you only pay for the paint on the heads stock.
Manufacturer Support
Havent tried them yet and hopefully never will have to.
The Wow Factor
Wesome looks and not everyone and there brother has one like fenders and gibsons... I have all three, Les paul deluxe, Fender strat, schecter hellraiser and this is just as good

"Your search is officially over!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
The only reason I would ever get rid of the guitar is to sell it to make the money for a Fly
Sound
It's a bit warm / dark for some things, but overall, the sound is incredible. About the only way to improve it is to put premium, high-end aftermarket pups in it. Through the right amp, it'll blow your mind.
Features
FLEXIBLE, FLEXIBLE, FLEXIBLE. This guitar is a chameleon - you can be anyone.
Ease of Use
10 seconds after tuning up (I bought on a really humid day), I was playing the best guitar music of my life - ever - bar none!
Quality
The guitar itself is very well made, the only reason I gave it an 8 is because the Nitefly and Fly are both of better construction, but they're also USA made. This is the best import (made in Korea) electric guitar on the market. Period.
Value
I can't think of a better guitar for the price.
Manufacturer Support
Don't know, never had to deal with them, as the guitar has not ever had a support issue. From the guys on the Parker website Forum (www.parkerguitars.com/forum), apparently customer service is great on the phone, lousy at answering emails.

"Exceeds all expectations!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will be playing this guitar until i die, and then my kids will play it. I will never sell it, it is the best investment i have ever made. Stop reading this review, find the money, and buy this guitar right now!!
Sound
Nothing less than amazing. This was the first guitar I ever bought without playing it first and I was not disappointed in the least. I play it all the time and then some. The best part about it is the versatility you get with the pickups. You want a fender? Coil tap it. You want a Les Paul? Crank the dual humbuckers. You want to tweak those a little? Throw on the fishmans. Every sound is possible, and the controls make it easy to change from one to the other quickly.
Features
Best features; Coil tapping and fishman piezo. Every part of this guitar is perfect.
Ease of Use
Even a novice guitarist will find it easy to dial in exactly the tone they are looking for.
Quality
Have only had it for about 2 months and no problems. My brother has had one for 4 years and same story. Yea, the quality is good.
Value
Best value around! Your getting basically three guitars in one, for less than any one of those cost. Best value for your dollar period.
Manufacturer Support
Never dealt with them.
The Wow Factor
Not only does it sound great, but it looks cool too, and different, you'll definitely turn heads every time you pull this thing out of a case.

Parker P44 Guitar Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
Amazing tonal ability
Features
being able to mix an acoustic sound and an electric sound at the same time is incredible
Quality
I took it to my personal luthier and he was hesitant to work on it because he doesn't like imports, but this one changed his mind!
Value
Out of all the guitars i've tried and owned in this price range this is the absolute best i've found for the money (Just make sure you have a pro set it up before you judge it)
Manufacturer Support
I had a few questions before i purchsed it and the reps at parker were exremely helpful
The Wow Factor
This guitar looks like its worth at least a few hundred more than I paid, I get compliments on it everytime it comes out of the case
