Upgraded from CDJ-850k (which i also purchased here). And man what a jump it was!!!! Needing only 1 usb stick saves so much time when it comes to uploading new songs to the flash drive. And having proper looping with quantize makes life so much easier... makes epic loop roll build ups completely easy. I was unprepared for the size of them though.. i thought they were the same size as the 850's and i was wrong.. i had to adjust my flight case to accommodate.. and can no longer fit my power strip behind the cdj (without it being incredibly cramped). My only gripe about them is the lack of hot cues and the beat divide not being all i hoped it to be. when slip mode is off and you use one of them it does not do loop of the beat you are on.. its like its on slip mode and continues the song even though you have a loop activated.. the only way to do a proper loop roll is to use the "4-beat" loop button then push it again or use the memory cue buttons to adjust its size.. which doesnt work too well when you need to start with a 1/2 loop... instead.. you have to turn on slip mode and hold the 1/2-beat beat divide button. i don't use the loop function all that often so it doesnt bother me too much. All that aside i think this is the perfect value for a cdj... i considered the xdj but couldnt bring myself to touch screen only features.. sound awful if you're ever drunk and will never offer the accuracy of physical buttons. If you can afford cdj2000's though.. i would probably suggest those.. i plan on eventually picking them up just because i enjoy all the fancy lights =P
