I'm pleased with this mixer. I'm no expert, I just use this in my home system. I haven't had any problems with it. It's built like brick and feels very solid.

"A Great “Classic” DJ Mixer"

I had been on the fence about purchasing a DJ Mixer to use with my Technics SL-1200MK5 that is exclusively used for sampling. I had been using a Pro-Ject Phono Box for years but after getting a good deal on an SL-1200MK2 I figured it would be worth the investment to finally add a mixer. I wanted a “classic” dj mixer with eq and multiple ins/outs and the DJM-250MK2 seemed to fit the bill. After receiving this mixer I was up and running in about 10 minutes. So far I love just about everything about it. The extra ins/outs allow me to have multiple incoming audio sources that I can route to 2 samplers at a time. My current set up is channel 1 receiving audio from the MK2, and my computer and channel 2 receiving audio from the MK5, with one pair of stereo outs going to one sampler and the other stereo outs going to another sampler. I can then sample from either turntable or my computer with any of the two samplers with very little work. And even better, I still have another stereo input and mic input still available. I haven’t messed with the usb interface at all yet but it is currently connected. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the bundled software and while I will use it eventually, it is more of a bonus for me as this mixer already covers all of the things that I had bought it for. I did “scratch” with it for a few hours and the fader feels really nice and the filters sound pretty sweet too. Overall, I’m very pleased with this mixer and highly recommend to anyone who wants to add a fairly basic dj mixer to their studio or dj set up.

My expectations were met and then some. I wasn't expecting quality like this coming from a small mixer. I will be sticking with Pioneer from here on out.

"Should have gotten the S3"

I got this mixer because I wanted to give Pioneer's Rekordbox DJ another try. I already had the Rekordbox control vinyl from a previous experience. As much as I like the layout of the software I just can't see it as a replacement for Serato DJ Pro. The mixer itself is pretty decent. The crossfader is nice, the build is solid but the software is the downfall of this mixer. If I were just an all vinyl DJ then maybe this mixer would have worked for me but in 2018 a laptop is needed for me to DJ on a regular basis.
