I must admit, I never was a big PRS fan for aesthetic reasons. I was a bit put of by highly figured woods and the flying bird inlays. That being said, I have always thought the guitars played and sounded great. The Starla is a big departure from the traditional PRS design. The Bigsby Tremolo, retro-styled body, solid color finish (mine is black) and the option for dot inlays had me instantly sold. It plays and sounds great and the coil tap makes this guitar super versatile. Sold a bunch of tele's and strat's to acquire this guitar and I have not regretted it one bit!!!

This is a really beautiful, well-made guitar. It sounds fantastic. The only things I can find to complain about is the balance when I play while seated which is easily fixed by using a strap. Amazing guitar.

I have nothing but respect for the PRS lovers out there, with that being said, I personally was always put-off with their lavish aesthetics (AAA grade tops, flying bird fretboard inlays etc.). This guitar really caught my eye as it was a total departure from anything else PRS had previously done - make a plain ol' guitar... Bigsby trem coupled with the understated dot inlay option, add up to no-frills axe that looks like the 60's while retaining the modern feel and circuitry PRS' are renowned for. I sold 5 guitars to buy this and have absolutely no regrets for purchasing it!!!
