I have good selection of guitars ranging from a Yamaha to a Taylor 710e. I was a little worried purchasing this sight and sound unseen but I have to say its a great guitar. I like the sound of a Mahogany body with a Spruce top and it doesn't disappoint. The electronics are phenomenal, Id say better then my Taylor's. Great out of the box.

Musical Background:

Been playing for about a year, jam at home.

Musical Style:

Classic rock, alternative.

I will start by saying that I’ve always wanted a PRS but I could never afford it out right. So thank you zZounds! Now on to this beautiful warm sounding Paul Reed Smith: So the main reason I went with this guitar and not some of the higher number models is fairly simple, I work with wood and I know mahogany. I am not to familiar with ovankal or any of the other woods used for the sides and back. With that being said, I’ve never owned a mahogany backed guitar, but I understand the resonance within it. With the guitar in the case I thought the guitar was going to be rather heavy, to my surprise the guitar itself is very lightweight. From here I tuned her up and strummed the open strings.... My goodness what a beautiful sound this guitar makes. Very deep and warm rich tones. I’ve owned washburn’s, ibanez’s, Yamaha‘s (some really nice Yamahas) and I have to say nothing comes any where near the sound and ease of use than this PRS ax20e. You don’t have to strum hard or fast for the sound from this guitar to project itself. It’s beautiful, warm, lightweight, with a sound every guitar company aspires to achieve. And PRS has done with a guitar everyone can afford. Hope this helps. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase.

Musical Background:

I’ve been playing guitar since I was 15 and really I just like to jam at home.

Musical Style:

Rock, hard rock, classic rock, heavy metal, black metal, death metal, metal metal. That last one is a joke.
