I bought this case for nearly half of the full retail price by going purchasing a scratch and dent item. If you can find one, buy it. Since it is just a protective case, as long as it fit the R1 (which it does), it would meet my needs. The case itself is great. It has handles on three sides. It fits the R1 snugly and securely. A panel slides out from the front to reveal the CD decks and headphone connections. There are pieces that can be removed with a hex key/allen wrench to reveal holes (great for running power and audio connections). The case has plenty of room to house all my power cords and XLR cables. Too bad there are no wheels, but that may be an undesirable feature for some.
