"Great Purchase"

So I bought the Pacer to use with Ableton and out of the box it’s the equivalent of a door stop (just being honest). I did email Nektar before I made my purchase (awesome company) and knew I had some programming ahead. I watched a couple videos on You Tube, prior to its arrival, which made programming the pacer pretty straight forward. Nektar makes fantastic gear, but the included documentation is garbage. Leverage the web and Nektar’s tech support (great), Nektar’s gear is worth the time and effort.

"Best footpedal out there"

If you're smart, savvy about how to use technology, then this pedal beats them all. The sheer versatility, quality of construction, and wealth of programmable options, and external control is amazing. This is definitely not for amateurs, however. If you are one of those, go with something simpler, like the Behringer FCB1010. FYI, DAW functionality is built in, you don't need any software to manage it, you just need to know what you're doing. Cubase, for instance, you need to add a Mackie Control in your devices menu, and set the MIDI input to this baby. Nothing else to do. I'm loving this, and I've only had it for a few hours. Now to get deep, and start harnessing the power this pedal offers for live performances!

"Well built, very little info on how to setup"

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars

It’s very well made , but not a lot of info on how to program it from the manufacturer. No stand alone software to help integrate into DAW’s . The video they made showing it in action , will take you days to setup. Really thinking about returning it.
