I bought this to use as a stand for my iPad holder. I needed something with a heavy base but without a big footprint to fit in with my drums and for out front vocals. This mic stand really fit the bill; the base is heavy and the stand is solid overall. No worries about it tipping over. The finish is great and the extension locking mechanism works like it should, although just a bit rough. Definitely worth the price for a cast iron base stand.
Sound
I definitely will make a thud or low ringing noise when dropped on different surfaces. I don't recommend dropping as it will likely damage whatever it's dropped on.
Features
The best feature for this stand is the cast iron base; it is heavy with a small footprint, just like I wanted. THe extension lock is a little sticky, but it does the job.
Ease of Use
Very easy to use.
Quality
Very well made; it should last for years whether in my studio or on the road.
Value
The value is top notch. Easily worth the price paid. I purchased this to hold my "On Stage TCM9150 U-Mount iPad or Tablet Case On Stage TCM9150 U-Mount iPad or Tablet Case" Works together perfectly!
Manufacturer Support
I have not had to work with support
