I’ve been playing guitar for nearly 50 years and own guitars from Froggy Bottom, Goodall, Collings, Lowden, etc. I bought a Martin 000-18 to serve as my leave-out guitar, but it soon became my favorite. Light and resonant with good projection, plus the 24.9” scale and neck profile make playing super easy. The frets are well dressed and the woods are good quality. The only minor complaint I have is that the first string tuner is notchy, but it doesn’t affect my ability to tune it at all. All in all it’s a nicely made guitar that sounds great and plays easily. And I don’t leave it sit out. It sleeps in its case every night.

Bought this Martin, it is everything the 00018e is except I get to pick out the pickup I want. I like it much more than a Dred, it is perfect in my hands and very light. The sound is typical of a high-end Martin 000. The Dred is just too boomy and could not cut through the mix in recording or playing live. This guitar is great for strumming picking or lead. Bottom end is still great with the added bonus of sparkling high end and playing lead is a thrill. You got to get you one.
