I just finished installing a Mojotone 59 Clone Humbucker Pickup Set into an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Gold Top. WOW! I had a hard time putting the guitar down. The tone is awesome. I play Blues, Blues-Rock, and this is the tone I was looking for. Plugged into a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue the tone is beyond anything I had hoped for. Buy a set of these and you won't regret it.

Musical Background:

I've been playing guitar for 55 years.

Musical Style:

Blues/Rocl

I bought a set of these pups to put in my 99 Gibson Les Paul Special SL. They are awesome, but very different from Gibson stock pups. If you like low output, these are pretty low(but still massively chunkier than the Mojotone QuietCoil Broadcasters in my Tele). I put the old Gibson pups in an Epiphone LP Custom and they are great These Mojotones have a lot of clarity, and they add just enough punch to the front end of a tube amp to get some warm breakup. They are paired with a Mojotone LP 50s wiring harness. Give them a try. Unless you hate good pickups as a rule, you will love them. Are they superior to stock pups? Not necessarily, but they sound great and deserve a try.

Musical Background:

30 years of guitar, piano, live band, etc.

Musical Style:

Rock and Roll, Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, Hip-Hop, Classical, really all styles. Dad was a DJ born in the 50s and raised me on ever

"Great Improvement"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I installed a Mojotone 59 Clone Set in an Epiphone Les Paul Classic. I kept the original switch and output but made a new wiring, 50s with 500k pots and 0.22 caps. The improvement is astonishing, I got exactly the sound I wanted (I'm a Zeppelin lover, so you know...). Now I can get great sounds even in the middle position, which was impossible with the stock PU (though they're not that bad). . If you're looking for a classic LP sound go for a set of these, you won't be disappointed.
Sound
Rock, alternative Rock, psychedelic Rock, progressive Rock
Features
I had to learn how to deal with single conductor PUs, I was not a great expert as I bought the set.
Ease of Use
They just sound great with every amp, simulated amp or modeler.
Quality
Sturdy product, looks like it will last forever.
Value
I think the price is OK, considering that similar products cost at least 100€ more (I'm located in EU)
Manufacturer Support
I had no need to contact the support
The Wow Factor
Well they're humbuckers and look like humbuckers....

I put this set in a PRS Zach meyers. I like the overall tone more than the Seth Lover I had in the neck position. The bridge Mojotone 59 is nice and furry, chimey and aggressive when you want it to be. I would reccomend these pickups because they sound great, are un-potted and are well priced.Every guitarist should own at least one set of un-potted p/u's to experience the tonal quailties they offer.

I dropped a set of these into a 2017 Gibson Les Paul Traditional. They sound great. They are not as treblely as the BB1 and BB2 combo and have more mids and lows, which is exactly what I was looking for.

Musical Background:

40 years lead and rythm guitar, some bass and assortment of other instruments. I have been a Guitar Tech for 35 years.

Musical Style:

Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Alternative and some old punk.

"Nice tone"

I purchased these to put into a 2017 Gibson Les Paul Traditional with 50's style wiring. I wanted to replace the BB1 and BB2 pickups that were in there from the factory, which I like but were a little to bright for my taste. These 59 clones sound good, not quite as bright and have a more mids and lows. They have sort of a mellow smooth tone. With the volume on 10 the distort nicely through both my Marshall DSL 100 and my Bugera G5. And the clean up as you roll off the volume. At first, I was not sure if I liked them, but after about 8 hours of playing I think they sound really nice after doing some height adjustment and setting the pole screws. These don't seem to be as high of an out put as the BB1 & BB2, but they do have a more classic sound and are close to what is in my 79 LP Custom.

Musical Background:

40 years lead and rythm guitar, some bass and assortment of other instruments. I have been a Guitar Tech for 35 years.

Musical Style:

Rock, classic rock, metal.
