What a great digital console! This totally blew my expectations out of the water. The console is designed well, and has a lot of easy access to functions, both on the control screen menus as well as each individual section has a view button to quickly access that specific screen. If you are new to digital consoles, it may take a bit to get used to how things are laid out. Also, Midas recently announced that their warranty is now 10 years, so manufacturer support I rated at 5 stars, even though I haven't needed it yet. The best investment I've made in a long time!

This mixer is great! The preamps are clean and warm! It's built solid as a tank and looks great too. Flexible routing and just sounds amazing! Excellent buy step above others I've tried ! Works great with Pro Tools and Abelton as an interface!!

"The last console (after Behringer X32) I would ever willingly spec.."

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars

I get the impression on reading some of the reviews for this console that Midas must have been handing out the goodie bags to those reviewing the M32. Yes, for a couple of grand its got a lot of features and functionality but no way is this a viable equivalent to professional consoles from the likes of Soundcraft/Digico/Avid etc. Having been forced to use this console on several occasions recently, I found it incredibly difficult to navigate comfortably, and that when maxing out i/o capability, a noticeable drop in audio quality. Its fiddly and barely intuitive. The display screen is small and seriously over-crowded with on screen navigation neither clear nor obvious. Patching is difficult on the fly and the most annoying aspect is the apparent lack of auto cancel when soloing inputs or outputs. The metering is vague and barely informative, and values given for head amps, processing thresholds and eqs seem to bear no relation to industry standards. Whoever designed this clearly had little touring experience. To sum it up, its a proper nightmare and for live shows, unless you actually have time to properly soundcheck, this desk will infuriate you. Its is most definitely not a pleasant experience in tight situations (festival shows with minimum changeover and line check only scenarios). All in all, a thoroughly depressing experience live and one to avoid.
