zZounds sent me this mixer after I had watched the reviews online. I was using a Behringer for nearly 5 years and wanted to upgrade. WHAT A DIFFERENCE in sound quality. I run my Controller through chanell 7/8 in mono, and the clean and clearness of the music is really impressive. I set my gain down a bit for the wireless mics in channel 1 and 2, and had really clean and loud response with no feedback. We DJ Weddings and use the mixer as a PA and for music. I am really impressed.

I bought this a few years ago and was going to write a review after trying it out for a while but it lasted such a short time I never got around to it. I recently dug it out of my parts equipment box and now I see they're not even available any longer. All I can say is, good riddance! This mixer actually sounds really good but after only a few months of moderate use I started having problems with scratchy pots and then it progressed to having different channels cutting in and out intermittently, sometimes when I hadn't even touched the pots! The fact Mackie had no problem putting their name on it doesn't speak well of them and doesn't bode well for their mixers with more channels that are probably using the same cheap pots. Needless to say when I replaced it, it was not with a Mackie mixer.
