I kind of want two of these, so I can have different tunings on them.
Sound
I like it a lot, the intonation is better than my singing treholipee uke, but i don't like the tone as well my singing treholipee. I was a little unhappy with it til I tuned it to a DGBE, with the D an octave high, it seems pretty neat to me now. It's like playing a guitar with no possibility of a bass note, but it's not a guitar so it's not so bad. I keep hitting the E string too hard when it's plugged in, it doesn't seem smooth for that reason. But I'm excited about it, I wonder if I can use it in a live situation soon.
Features
It is an acoustic-electric, that's its main feature kind of. I wish it had a button for a strap, but I have a banjo strap that might work if I can find it. It's a bit heavy, so it needs a strap.
Ease of Use
It's got good intonation, and the volume and treble and bass controls seem easy to use, as is the phase switch. It's got this tendency to kind of burp while you're playing it, as I hit the bottom string too hard with my finger. I wonder if a compressor would make the plugged in sound more smooth and less like dropping a bomb.
Quality
I looked at a prettier ukulele but the electrics got me, and I thought the acoustic sound of it was ok too. According to the homepage i'm looking at on the net,the big string is suppose to be on the top, not on the second string course, but I tuned it to the DGBE and that makes more sense than the other way, strings being as they are. http://www.ukuleles.com/SetupnCare/TenorTune.html
Value
I paid $220 for it, normal price is supposably $240.
Manufacturer Support
i've not had any experience, i just bought the uke tnight.
The Wow Factor
The hawaiian name was cool even though it was made in China, and the electrics made it cool too. It's a beautiful ukulele, really neat.
