This foot controller is packed with features, but the reason why I really bought it was for a way to easily dive in and map/program different functions using Ableton Live. This is a perfect controller for those looking for a pedal to progress their live looping skills. It is easily mappable and user friendly. If one would also like to use the sounds of the synth within it as well, it is definitely worth it.

I purchased the 12-Step to allow me to play keyboard sounds while playing bass or saxophone. Several years ago I had used a Behringer FB1010 to do similar tasks, however I had to use an Ableton plugin to configure the notes triggered by a single pedal button push . The 12-Step lets you program up to 6 notes per button as well as a whole host of other parameters. Its also pressure sensitive and button tilt sensitive for maximum expression. Now I can trigger with any host program I want to use! In fact,I ended up buying a second one to extend the musical note range.
