I purchased this bass based on reviews I read and Ibanez specifically bragging about the attention to detail and care they put into these Premium instruments. When I got it I was impressed that all adjustments to to spec.I found the action a bit higher than I like but no biggie it also come with an awesome adjustment tool. This instrument is beautiful and the neck plays like butter (after I lowered he action) my two complaints is one the pickups seem a bit dull compared to the Barts in other Ibanez basses. I will play with the heights and see if I can’t live the them up a bit. Also being single coil they are useless when not used together. That rules out any P-Bass emulations or heavy Jaco sounds. The main issue I have is the lower edge of the frets from the 12th fret up has a sharp edge. My fanned fret Ibanez has much better fret dressing than this one and it’s not a premium model. I am actually debating whether to contact Ibanez about the fret issue since they do brag about it and all. I just received this bass last night and I don’t want to hate it so I will tweak it a bit more and see what I get.

The finish on this bass is beautiful! I actually own the bass shown for this bass and man it does little justice to what this bass looks like in person! It certainly does not stop there. it is light weight and fast neck make it very playable for hours at a time. the big single norstrands are so versitle and hot! the neck on this bass is over the top! 15 piece neck! TItanium truss rods! I took this bass from a cold garage last night and then went straight a warm basement and played for 2 hours at a small party and I never once had to tune it. I know I know I am not supposed to expose it to extreme temp changes but it did not affect the tone at all. The attention to detail is way over the top and has most or more of the prestige line enhancements than a premium! Ibanez! you are being modest and thank you for keeping the price down! One high quality bass that you can not get these features in a new bass! The band is extremely happy with my purchase and keep on Rockin'!

Musical Background:

Played music off and for 10 years

Musical Style:

Mostly Classic Rock in a band and I experiment with Jazz, Pop, R&B digging the slap bass and this bass allows me to play all tho
