This has to be the smoothest guitar i've ever played. The wizard neck is flat and much wider in feel than my telecaster. It took me about an hour to adjust to this type of neck but once I did... butter. It's so smooth for melodic lead lines, to which I primarily play. I review this guitar from a lead guitarist's perspective, so I cannot say much about its rhythmic capabilities but I do think overall the DiMarzio pickups it's loaded with sound tight and on the brighter side. I've played Ernie Ball Paradigms and Ernie Ball Cobalts on this, and I feel the cobalts sounded great but were too bright for my taste on this guitar, but might fit your needs. I currently have GHS Brite Flats 10s on this and it's super smooth in sound and feel. I did notice I had to adjust the spring tension upon first restring, i think it's stocked with 9s from the factory, and I use 10s--so be ready for some light set up if you decide to move up a gauge! Edge zero trem is so smooth, and locking tuners makes restringing easy. The supernova burst finish is like a moonlit dream. There is a 7 string version of this guitar (with a slightly different finish ) that's probably readier to djent, but as a guitarist who finds preciousness in solo lead work this is a gem. Never letting go of this guitar.
