Originally I was looking for a multi range guitar I could use and experiment with variable tunings. I came across a youtube review where a man had a very nice one that proved versatile but to my surprise, very unusual exotic woods, The guitar had a nice and thick burl wood top and In addition, had an eleven peace laminate neck. It seamed to have everything I was looking for and at a value. I decided to purchase one and when it arrived, I was not disappointed. Pros:Plays and sounds great and with a crazy amount of exotic woods and build quality that exceeded beyond expectations for it's value. In short.. extraordinary. An astoundingly beautiful guitar. The website pictures do no justice for it. Believe it or not I was hoping for one not entirely saturated with burl and having some unique figuring separating mine from other RG1027PBF Premiums. Mine arrived better than I could hope for.My Ibanez RG1027PBF Premium came with a tool kit as well. A nice touch. In the end, this guitar replaced three guitars due to ease of its versatile tuning, quality and value. I have had some nice Prestige guitars in my time and this Premium is a rare exception and for its price unbeatable. Mine came as if built in Japan even though it was built in IndonesiaCons: If any. No hard shell case. That being said, the hybrid soft/hard case is semi rigid and actually very nice and will please, unless, your going on tour with it or want to throw heavy punishing Items on it. Otherwise, the guitar itself, exceeds it's value regardless.Overall I'm Extremely ecstatic. I've had some costly custom guitars that did not have such a nice thick exotic top and mine honestly plays like a prestige. Must of got lucky??. Real exotic woods and build quality that exceeds beyond expectations, A great value and great playability. Truly a nice paradox among guitars of that pricing.

When my guitar arrived, I opened the case to find I had a broken e string caused by the tuning machine coming apart. The guitar looked beautiful in every way. When I replaced the string and tuned it up I found I had lots of fret buzz all up the neck. The pickups sounded good but under high gain I found them fairly muddy. Not really what I expected out of a guitar at this price range. I'll be sending it back. After seeing other rave reviews about this guitar I'm sure this is a one off issue, but this one isn't for me.
