"Close to perfection, except the Action."

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
To be honest, I love everything about this guitar, except the action. That is the main reason why I hardly ever play with this guitar. Once I take it to the shop so they can fix the action, there will be nothing left to dislike bout this guitar, and I will play everyday with it.
Sound
The sound is very clean when I play without effects. When I add effects, they sound very clear. I can't complain about the pick ups at all. Great Natural Sound.
Features
Features are all right. I wish it had a tremolo though. If it had a tremolo bar, it would be so awesome. Since then, my guitar is incomplete.
Ease of Use
It's pretty easy for me to get the sound I want out of this guitar. I just turn all the knobs to 10, move the switch to treble, and I am ready to go.
Quality
The one thing that is killing me is the action. Ever since I bought the guitar, I can't get the action in the right place. I play with super heavy strings and drop to a G#, but still, I should be able to get the action right. If I play too hard, my strings buzz somewhat, and at times I loose my inspiration and will to play. Sometimes it is really hard to play, and again, it comes down to the fact that the action is messed up. That is why most of the time I play with my 6 string guitar instead.
Value
Hey, unlike these guys who got this guitar for like $350 plus, I got it for $250 after tax. The only thing, I had to place an order for it and wait about 2 weeks for delivery. But hey, it was worth the wait if it saved me about 100 dollars, right?
Manufacturer Support
To be honest, I haven't really tried to deal with these guys. However, I did not see a number I could call, so even if I wanted to approach the phone, I could not be able to get a hold of them.
The Wow Factor
Oh, it has great looks. If it was a girl, I would make love to her in my car.

"Goes out of tune easy if you try bending notes. Pickups are not so hot. After a while the hardware starts to rust a little."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I still have it but have replaced it with better guitars.
Sound
Not really good for my type of music. It has a nice clean tone on the neck pick-up.
Features
If you buy this guitar get a new bridge pickup. The action is pretty decent.
Quality
The hardware will rust on you after a while if you don't take good care of it.
Value
Could possibly lower the price a little.
Manufacturer Support
I never dealt with the company.
The Wow Factor
Good for a first 7-string.

"A SHREDDER MUST HAVE HIS AX."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I HAVE HAD MINE FOR 5 YEARS - NO PROBLEMS THE BEST GUITAR I EVER HAD!!!
Sound
THE GRIT OF A GIBSON AND THE HOLLOW AND LIGHTNESS OF A FENDER IN ONE GUITAR!!!!
Features
DROP-D TUNERS, GOOD PICKUPS (DUNCAN) - IT WOULD BE NICE WITH TREMOLO, BUT PERHAPS THAT IS NOT HELPFUL FOR THIS STYLE OF GUITAR. PERHAPS IT WASN'T DESIGNED FOR TREMOLO.
Quality
THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE JACK PLUGHOLE - IT LOOSENS AND NEEDS TIGHTENING FROM TIME TO TIME - A PAIN IN THE... ALL THE OTHER PARTS ARE PERFECT PLUS ONE!!!
The Wow Factor
LOOKS ARE GOOD, BUT THE SOUND QUALITY IS VERY APPEALING TO THE GUITARIST.

Decent inexpensive 7 string, but you need to know how to work on your own guitars for this to be a good value. I got it because I wanted an SGish 7 and this fit the bill. Also had a Petrucci set of pickups just sitting around and wanted something to put them in. Installed the pups, dressed the frets (lowline Ibbys usually need a dressing), did a setup and it is a beast. A bit neck heavy but I will probably scallop it when I decide what color to repaint this so it's all good. I got it for $76 so it was great deal.

"I got what I paid for"

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I hate this damn thing. i was satisfied for about 2 weeks. I've already ordered an ESP LTD 607 in it's place.
Sound
I hate the sound. The pickups are just disgusting to me. However that is in comparison to an EMG 89/81 set on my Gothic Explorer. Still, i can't get the range of tone or sustain I want, and I can't get the intonation of the low B setup. even with the damn saddle to the back of the bridge it's about a quarter tone too high.
Features
The tuners on this thing are complete crap. They slip on me constantly. i was going to replace them with some locking sperzels, but when i went ot adjust the height of the pickups, i found out very swiftly that this guitar is not meant to be tampered with. The pickups just rest on foam. No height springs. So when i tried to move my bridge pickup down away form the strings cause it was overdriving on me, one of the support screws stripped right out of the body. I have it held in with a toothpick right now.
Quality
The finish was fine, but i hated it anyway and sanded it off. The tuners suck. Both a pickup screw AND one of the strap screws has just ripped out of the body on me. It doesnt seem like anything about this guitar is meant to last, but it may be good enough for a beginning player that doesn't want to tinker with it too much.
Value
Cheap guitar. But you get what you pay for.
Manufacturer Support
I havent tried the support, and i dont care to.
The Wow Factor
The guitar LOOKS great and is a hell of a stage-piece. The neck feels great too. But it plays like old people screw and falls apart like a leper.

If you don't have this guitar and you want to be able to play and kind of song, I would get this guitar.
Sound
It has a really great sound to it. I'm in a band and we play anywhere from classic rock to heavy metal. The added B string is great for playing hard rock or metal.
Features
Very nice features. Tuners and dials work great. The humbuckers are very nice.
Quality
It is made very well and it is very good at looks and sound.
Value
It is definately worth the price. If you buy this guitar, you are getting a major deal.

"Definately NOT my favorite guitar."

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
not good but if you cant afford any thing better than it'll be fine.
Sound
The stock pickups of this guitar are slightly higher quality than some other Ibanez guitars that are priced more than it. But the sound is still high and twangy.
Features
It's got a three way switch thats black cover broke off 4 mounths after me buying it for 299.99. The volume and tone knobs fall off rather easily. It's got seven strings but the lower end tone is just buzzy and terrible.
Quality
Well. The paint is matte and does not chip very easily, so the absence of a pickguard does not really matter. This guitar also comes out of tune VERY easily. I find myself tuning it every 20 minutes or so. IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO USE THIS AS EVEN A BACKUP GUITAR AT A SHOW. It's just not reliable enough. It's also VERY neck heavy
Value
This guitar should be AT THE LEAST $100 cheaper than its base price.
Manufacturer Support
Never used it.
The Wow Factor
This guitar looks like an unattractive SG in my opinion. A much fatter version at that. This guitar is not VERY heavy but its still packin' a good bit of weight. The acoustic style neck isn't that great either.
