Best sounding guitar I have. Out of the box it was nearly perfect! The case you get is nice too! The pickups are hot and I can do anything from Led Zeppelin to Metallica tone wise. Absolutely well worth the money. All I had to do was lower the action a little bit for my playing style, but it is well a 5 star guitar.

I've played for 13 years, I only play guitar and bass at the moment. I mostly play at home and with friends.
Musical Style:
Anywhere from Led Zeppelin to Pantera is the best way I can describe it. I love hard rock/heavy metal.

This is an excellent guitar. It's like a pretty woman sitting on your lap. Curves in the right places and makes some sweet sounds. Color is perfect. Action was good out of the box. Well worth the price.

1st things 1st. $1200-$1500 on a Gibson deserves a hard-shell case PERIOD!! The case they give you is ok at best but again total nonsense that it doesn't come with a hard-shell case. With that aside this is everything you'd expect. SG's offer the best combination of clarity & grit. Blues to Metal & everything in between. I'll forever love the necks on these things. The 2019 is a beast & the best value in my opinion especially in comparison to a Les Paul.

I have been playing for years and I’ve played everything from a Danelectro to Yamaha. I was shopping around for an SG because my friend had an Epiphone and I loved the way it felt. I played Specials and SG3s. I chose this one because it just felt...Right. Out of the box, it was perfect. I’m not a big fan of the case because I feel like a hard case is better, especially for the pricing. But in saying that, the soft case is amazing for it being a soft case. It’s setup is perfect and I loved the baby picture it came with. Overall, this guitar is great for everything and it has the SG growl everyone is familiar with. I owned a Kurt Cobain Jaguar before I bought this and the Jag was my favorite guitar. The SG is now my favorite. Also, don’t be afraid of the rumors about SGs getting worse over the years. The 2019 is Great!
