I want to say thank u to all the people who leave reviews for the products they buy off here. It has really helped me make wise purchases. 2nd I want to thank u guys at zZounds for allowing a poor guy like me to buy my dream gear without paying it all up front. I have what I have because of ur great policy to pay as u play. U are awesome. 3rd the Guitar!! I have reviewed a Martin and a Taylor 214ce as I have purchased these guitars from zZounds as well.. After reviews videos and playing alot of guitars at guitar center Including the j45 standard. Which I didnt like at all!!! Suprising I know but for the money it cost I thought it would blow my mind with the sound.. It did not way to bright for my liking so I tried the j45 Studio... i was very impressed with the tone not near as bright as the 45 Standard . After playing a few more guitars at the center. I made my mind up to buy the j45 studio from zZounds in walnut burst. It arrived and I was super excited!! Out of the box came a beautiful brown case not black which is so boring. Inside the case was a beautiful guitar and a humidifier sleeve of some sort polish a rag keychain which u can put ur picks in. I must confess though I thought I'd get a guitar strap but this guitar does not come with one unfortunately. I soon forgot about that when I took it out of the case and started playing it. What a perfect sounding guitar unplugged u have plenty of sound that projects out . Plugged in to me it's what it was made to do. It wants to be heard and show off so plug her in and let her be heard. I look forward to playing it live while singing and playing this j45 during our worship service. I dont believe u need the j45 standard save some money and get this guitar instead. Its ur choice. I made mine and am I am happy I chose the J45 Studio.

I've owned and played Taylor 210E and a Takamine EF341SC. Loved them both. The J45 is now the best guitar I've owned. It's my first Gibson acoustic guitar. Glad it found me!

"MY FAVORITE ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC GUITAR SO FAR"

I have owned Taylor, Martin, Breedlove, Yamaha and other off brand acoustic electric guitars for over 40 years. However, I have never owned a Gibson up until now. I was researching this Gibson and the Yamaha A5R Acoustic-Electric. I read many great reviews about the Yamaha, which is hard to find in stock anywhere because of its popularity. However, something kept drawing me towards the Gibson. And boy am I happy I purchased it. It sounds pretty darn good unplugged and is comfortable to hold while playing in a sitting position. The string action right out of the box was absolutely PERFECT! That does not happen very often at all. The neck size is spot on for my extra large hands and fingers. The tuners turn like butter and tuned the strings with ease. In addition, the strings stay tuned for quite some time while playing. And then it got even better after I plugged it into my hand-wired Vox all-tube amp. Sounded absolutely fantastic! And I love the hidden electric controls inside the sound hole. Only two controls... volume and tone. Just the way I like it. Super simple yet very effective. I will have to do some more research as ZZounds.com product description does not identify the size of the strings nor did I see anything from Gibson. Other than that, this is an absolutely beautiful guitar that plays even better than it looks. And the price is right. I paid more for my Taylor 300 series and in my opinion, this Gibson outplays that guitar all day long.
