We had an extremely cold winter with a lot of low humidity. I was a bit concerned I may end up with a dried up possibly cracked Gibson because of this but it showed up untuned, in excellent UNPLAYED condition. I give Zzounds the credit for this. I'm sure they must keep their acoustics humidified properly.
Everything about the guitar is beautiful. No glue slop inside the body. Mine did not need a setup. Guitar sounds fantastic. No complaints.

I've always coveted a J45, and have played lots of them over the years. When I saw that they had made one with Koa wood, I was hooked. This guitar has exceeded my expectations all around. I have the good fortune to own several custom made guitars from private luthiers that were significantly more expensive, yet this Gibson totally hangs with all of them. Sound, looks, build and playability are superb on this J45, delighted that I took the plunge.

I have been a musician for forty years. I am primarily a bass player, but play guitar consistently as well.
