This is my third purchase from Zzounds and every time has been a pleasure. Shipping is always fast. The 50's tribute Les Paul is fantastic. It's exactly what I was looking for. It's a true players guitar, not a bunch of bells and whistles just straight Les Paul goodness. I'm not a fan of the tuners and that's the only thing I would change. That's a personal preference though, you might love them, they just aren't for me.

I have a large collection of guitars, but up till now had nothing with P90s. I remember my SG Special from my high school days ( a long long time ago ) and had fond memories of those pickups. I tried a PRS Se Soapbar, and it didn't quite do it for me. It's gone now, so when I saw the Les Paul I decided I need it. You know how sometimes your memory is better than reality? This isn't one of those times! This guitar sounds fantastic, and I find myself playing the crap out of it. It is a bit of a boat anchor, but worth it. It plays beautifully, looks decent, especially for the price, and the Minitune system is quite a nice feature once you get used to how it works. I have zero issues, as long as my back holds up.

Musical Background:

I've played 52 years. I no longer play professionally, so I can afford instruments. I jamb with friends and annoy the neighbor

Musical Style:

Rock, blues, pop, experimental, and just plain mental

I got this as a "scratch and dent" but honestly I could not for the life of me find anything wrong with the guitar, no scratches or anything! it was flawless, and best of all zZounds gave me a great deal!! extremely happy with the purchase, the P90's sound awesome, setup is great, this is definitely a keeper!! the only reason I did not give it 5 stars across the board is because of the mini-etune, it works but I'm not sure about the accuracy and also it runs on rechargeable batteries, I don't wan to be worrying about charged batteries every time I want to use it, so they will be replaced by regular tuners, but otherwise is a fantastic buy! zZounds rocks!!
