Gibson 2019 Les Paul Studio Tribute Electric Guitar (with Soft Case)

Gibson pays homage to its own history with this stunning Tribute model. The guitar's maple and mahogany body pairs well with the 490R and 490T humbuckers.

Out of the box, which was security sealed/never opened, the guitar was far from play worthy, first off the action was about 5/8" off the finger board out of the box I had to turn the bridge lug 4 and 1/4 turns just to get it close enough to play, after tuning it was right on as far as intonation which was kind of confusing to me ? The fret edges were not dressed very well, a lot of burrs and sharp edges were obvious, the pick up selector had static in between switching from one pick up to the other, kind of disappointing as this was my dream guitar I waited till I was 63 years old to own. I like the sound and electronics and I guess after I pay to have the frets dressed and professionally set up it will be a keeper, just didn't think my money would fetch so little in craftsmanship. I gave no stars on manufacturers support because I didn't feel like waiting several more weeks for their solutions.

Overall I really enjoy this guitar. Gigged it several times now and hasn't really given me any problems. The first and only issue I've had was the pickup selector cutting out on me. I used some contact cleaner on it and wiggled it back and forth several times and all is well now. My guitar is extremely light for a les paul which is nice. Pickups could be better.
