I am a 52 year man who is an avid guitar player. I play at least 4 times a week. I have owned many guitars in the 39 years that I have been playing. This is my first Gibson Les Paul. When I got it in the mail and got it opened I was totally amazed. The look and quality that this guitar has is like nothing else that I have ever owned. Let alone the sound that it has. The tone is awesome. The people at Gibson really know what they are doing. And you guys at zZounds are absolutely awesome yourselves. Without the play as you pay plan is such a great option. Without it I'm sure that I still wouldn't own a Gibson. Thank you so much you guys at zZounds for the opportunity to get this guitar and the many other things that I have purchased from you all with the play as you pay plan. Thanks again E. G.

"2015 LPM LesPaul model"

I got the translucent black finish and I like it very much. This is the lowest end LP but still the workmanship, detail and features of the real carved top LP. A great deal for my tastes and my first but not my last Les Paul. That being said I like the 2015 features that Gibson has apparently dropped for 2016 models. This guitar has a huge chunky neck design and reach to the high frets is not effortless shall we say but that is the inherent LP. This is also a maple neck (rare as can be) one heavy quality instrument, zero fret, cryo treated frets, wonderful action Pleck. I love this guitar and it is a great but to get into the LP realm. The G force works and does some amazing things but I think the problem with the auto tune ideal is that one needs to tune up into pitch like all string players do, this just twist to tune and it goes out a lot because of that. An oversight that no experienced player would miss if you ask me. Still until I get tried of it G Force is rather cool but not perfect because of the tuning down into pitch which just makes you go out pf tune really easy. One button and presto it recovers but I can see how some may like the good old manual means. And you can tune manual if you like and these puppies are 40:1 which is very good. Anyway, love it, great value and gets you into the mile high club.

"Great guitar (Translucent Ebony) a note about the color"

I wanted to mention a few comments about the color of this guitar. I wanted a black guitar. I was shopping on Gibson's website and looked the the 3 color options for the LPM. The translucent ebony option on Gibson's website is Black and has a transparent look to it with blotchy or blurry features. Check it out at gibson.com. The pictures on this website show a brown guitar with very different features as it shows more of a wood grain, but it appears brown. I called Gibson regarding the differance as I really wanted a black guitar. Gibson told me the pictures on their website were not accurate and the guitars were coming out Brown. Well, despite the fact that I wanted a black guitar I went ahead and pulled the trigger anyway. The Guitar arrived yesterday and WOW! I was pleasantly suprised. The guitar is black and you can see the wood grain just like the zzounds picture. It is identical to the zzsounds picture but the picture shows a brown front, the guitar in person is definetly more of a black front. the back and body is brown, but the front plate is a black wood grain. The guitar is beautiful and it plays so nice. The gforce tuning is amazing and simple to use. I was worried about the thicker neck as my hands are not that big (Size medium glove) and I have no problems playing all the chords. I love this guitar

This new model has taken some getting use to, even with the new wider maple neck, and new G-Force tuning system it still feels like a Les Paul overall. The traditional LP lover might not like the fancy electronics attached to the tuning keys, but I find that retuning with the touch of a button refreshing, maybe not for everyone, but it works for me.
