This guitar is the most awesome guitar i have ever played. The guitar arrived in great shape after difficulties that were not limited to the 1st guitar arriving w/cracked headstock that was damaged during shipping, oops caps and was sent back immediately !None of the delays were zzounds fault !The 2nd guitar was delayed for two days due to the geirge floyd riots but when it did finally arrive in one piece 11 days after i ordered it...It was worth every minute of the wait and i am glad i did not cancel the sale. I got a great price on my guitar that is selling @ guitar center right now for $5,050.00 delivered to my door all-in/taxes paid! So zzounds .Com got me a great dealio, i really did well.....The vos(vintage original specs) is carefully adhered to w/one exception...The guitar is weight relieved w/( 9-hole weight relief, not ultra-modern w r,which i would not have bought....My guitar weighs in @ a comfortable 9 lbs 14 ounces, just shy of 10 lbs which imo, is a perfect weight for a lester...My 2017 lp standard weighs 8lbs. 11 ounces or 9lbs 7 ounces w/bigsby b3 tremolo on-it......And it is slightly under-weight...But my new customs weight is perfect, imo !The ebony fret-board is omg perfect ! The m-o-p in-lays are beautiful and are 100% completely flush w/top of fret-board. (my 2017 standard had to go back to the retailer to be shielded and have the in-lays shaved down and a badly cut nut replaced while under warrantty.The work was free of charge)....The biggest difference between a standard & custom..Customs are hand-crafted nuts & wiring, the mop in-lays and no plek machine nuts, custom-bucker p-up's)...This zzounds.Com exclusive vos arrived (after mentioned delays) in flawles condition. Absolutely perfect...The taper on the speed knobs is perfect !!! The neck is perfect! The grover gold tuning machines are awesome as usual. The custom-bucker pick-ups are the best i have ever had on a guitar, custom-buckers rule!!!...The gold hardare is, omg, awesome and the guitar stays in tune and doesn't suffer from neck-dive. I only needed to make slight adjustments on the set-up when i got it, no biggies, things such as setting the neck relief @ 8th to .008" as it arrived dead-straight. I also raised the low 'e' string height @ 12th fret to 5/64ths...I had to lower the pick-up's slightly too !But that was it ! The high 'e' was set perfectly @ 3/64ths @ factory. The guitar, like all customs, is shielded properly (unlike usa line axes that are no longer shielded, afaik!) @ fatory...This guitar gets a solid 5 star review,because i got a perfect/awesome 2019 gibson custom shop les paul custom vos black-beauty w/mop double cut diamond headstock (a must !)...It is the sharpest guitar i have played/touched. I also must say: I wanted the 1968 les paul custom black-beauty re-issue but it was priced @ $6300 all-in and delivered to my door...The only difference between the 2019 model & 1968 custom re-issue is the 9 hole weight-relief on the 2019 and no weight relief on the '68, and for the $$$$ i saved it was a no-brainer ! My new guitar is the exact same guitar for much less $$$(over $2,100.00, it was >$3,900.00) and its the guitar i waited 38 yrs for and i am glad i waited for this 'one' as it ticked all the boxes:Ebony/black colour, ebony fret-board (a must have) w/mop inlays'(aam), double-cut diamond mop/ head-stock in-lays, flawless body/neck/head-stock bindings, perfect hard-ware. W/corian nut flawlessly installed by hand.Perfect controls, shielded @ factory and custom-bucker pick-up's....I tell ya, i got a perfect 2019 gibson custom shop les paul custom vos(vintage original specs) black-beauty......Thank you gibson & thank you zzounds.Com...I now have the perfect guitar i have wanted my entire adult life for.Mine is perfect in every way and i could not be happier !!!

It is very easy for me to say this truthfully. I have 16 Les Pauls 5 of which are Les Paul Customs and this VOS model with the Custom Buckers immediately jumped to my #1 favorite. I ordered this guitar not because I needed it but because I really wanted those Custom Buckers and the VOS finish. I am so happy I decided to order. Because I didn't need it I tried to find every reason possible not to order. But in the end the Zzounds Rep Josh was extremely patient, super easy to deal with and earned the business. I am so glad he did. Ordering online is always a little scary but with their return policy I wasn't deterred. I took the time to look at the guitars they had with the magnify feature and the guitar that I picked was in the exact shape that it appeared on their site.This guitar is, as my kids would say SICK!! I am stoked I bought it. When my wife said "another guitar" i said "Of course ... but I got a great deal" which I didThis guitar and experience is and was a 5 star and that's no BSMy only other want right now is ... I wish they had this in White as well because I would then own 2 :)
