What a sweet guitar. This guitar has so much going for it. It took me a very long time agonizing over this decision to finally pull the trigger. 12 pay as you play, budget friendly. Being a payment buyer bang for buck was important but American quality was also. Glad I did, no really I'm glad... The tone out of the case (after replacing strings to Elixer light HDs) is stellar, cross between rosewood and acacia, sustain and overtones... No harshness around the G string, wonderful string to string even volume. Couple this with the wonderfully comfortable neck and you will be sent to look for excuses to send time with this instrument. Playability and tone meet in one box! Not to mention the weight, the lightness is a pleasant surprise add the electronics and we have a winner. It's a Gibson acoustic. I've been playing for 50 years and this is a value not to pass up, you will be glad you didn't...

This is a great value. The walnut back is beautiful and the build quality is everything you would expect from a Gibson acoustic. The tone is consistent throughout the tonal range. I had read that walnut can be a little muddy at the low end but I have not found this to be the case. The low is deep and clear, mids are bell like and the highs are crisp. This guitar is better than I expected and I am very happy. Sometimes I open the case just to look at it. It is quite beautiful. On the negative side, this is just a personal preference but the flat radius on the fingerboard feels great at the higher frets but I would have preferred a compounded radius. Open chords feel awkward and will take some getting used to. I can not yet comment on the electronics. I do not have an acoustic amplifier and have only played it unplugged. I would definitely recommend this guitar.
