After months of research, I finally bought my Gibson Les Paul ES. What a Les Paul it's turned out to be, too ! Wow!! It has great everything. Great sustain, tone, feel, playability and even the smell of it is good. I've had it now for about four months and play it about three times a week at home. I'm not gigging, I don't think I'd bring something this nice to a gig anyways. The fit and finish was near perfect. When I first got it I had to adjust the intonation a tad, but after that it stayed in tune pretty much perfectly. Let's face it, most guitars we get online need a tiny bit of adjustment anyways. The only minor thing is I'm thinking of getting Grover tuners instead of the ones they have on here now. There is about a 1/4" of play on the B string tuner, but it does stay in tune. I just have no way to tighten the tuner with the Kluson tuners that are on there now. So I just don't bother it, I may have a pro fix it if it gives me trouble. But that doesn't mean it'll happen if you get one. Everything else is snug as a bug. It's a very lightweight guitar, lighter than you'd even guess. You can pretty much pick it up with two fingers, though I don't dare do so. This helps me though, I have a bad back and rotator cuff, so it's a blessing for me. This girl has all the factors of a regular new LP, but the super fat, warm sound of a semi-hollow of yesteryear. You can immediately tell when you plug it in that this was a guitar that was built by someone who loves guitars, someone who is a great player themselves and by someone who absolutely wants you to have a great product. They took their time making this special guitar and I have zero regrets getting it. If I had the finances, I'd buy the last one they have in stock. Do yourself a favor, just get it, you won't regret it. It has the fattest tone I've ever heard from any Gibson ever ! The case was a regular solid brown case. The only thing, aside from the guitar, that came in it was a very nice looking certificate of authenticity from Gibson Memphis. Thanks for reading my review. By the way, I gave 3 stars for value, because well, this isn't an inexpensive guitar. Ha !
