I'm a Covid player, I always wanted to learn how to play and when the world shut down I took the opportunity. I have always been a Gibson fan but starting out I bought Epiphones. In the 5 years since I started I've bought all the imports, Jackson's, Dean's, Schectars, Wylde, etc but have always come back to new Epiphones. I just thought they were great guitars. But i always wanted a real Gibson just didnt really believe they were worth it. So for my 50th Birthday I bought myself "the real deal". A Gibson 70s Flying V in White. It's a awesome guitar, it sounds fantastic, plays fantastic and looks and smells amazing. Now I own several Epiphone, Dean, and Jackson Vs, some of the Dean's costing more but they don't feel special like the Gibson. I would argue my Epiphone Dave Mustaine Custom is a better made guitar. That Epiphone came out of the box perfect unlike the Gibson. The Gibson has a piece of the binding on the neck that is crooked, They embedded polishing compound into the fret board grain and my switch tip was stripped. But I know which one I'd choose if I could only have one.....The Gibson. Perfect frets....every single one. Low action and no buzz. The pickups are extremely hot, like SD JB and can be a little scratchy but man is this thing a Metal Beast. Case is also pretty nice and love the Gibson multi tool. Definitely worth the extra money especially considering what you get. Cons....I changed out the tuners for Grover lockers, at this price you should get lockers especially since this isn't a true 70s spec Gibson. QC isn't the best, the little checksheet has a box for binding inspection. They had clearly missed a mistake in the neck binding but the box was checked anyway. All In All I'm very happy with my purchase and am very grateful to zzsounds. Not only did they ship it to me ahead of schedule but they must have overnighted it to arrive before the huge snowstorm. I had it in less than a day! Thanks guys. Will be buying a Explorer next!

This is my second time buying one of these from zZounds, the first one had quality control issues. This one had a few MINOR issues but nothing like the first guitar. My zZounds customer service rep made things right and I couldn't be happier. This guitar plays like a dream and sounds massive! Resonance for days, and it's so easy to shred on it. You'd think you could dispose legal documents on the fretboard.

This is my dream guitar and I waited quite some time for this to be delivered. However, I fear that Gibson USA rushed this one right out of the factory. Their QC was better than it had been in the past decade but now it seems it's back to mediocre levels. Finish defects on the neck and around the nut. The fretboard was dry like sandpaper, and the pickups had buffing compound all over them. Heartbroken is how I would describe the way this made me feel. So, I returned the guitar.
