So i've had this guitar for quite a while now and feel it's time to put my two cents out about it. When you first get it, it comes in a beautiful green case with heavily, and I stress heavily, padded interior with white lining, and inside it has this awesome guitar, autographed by Jason certificate of authenticity, 5FDP picks and hand selected strings from Jason. Now about the guitar. It is truly one of the best playing and sounding guitars I have ever used, and i've been playing Fender's for nearly ten years, but have always wanted a Gibson, and man let me tell you, this is one amazing Gibson, it has an amazingly bright and crisp sound, awesome jumbo frets, a beautiful paint job and an amazing case, however, I left ease of use on 4 stars because I find it rather difficult to sit and play the explorer, and I'm a large from person, so a smaller frame person will definitely have a harder time... Overall I strongly recommend this guitar to anyone who wants an awesome guitar!

This is an awesome guitar that is built like a M-4 Tank. The Seymour 59 pick up in the neck can go from hard rock to smooth jazz and the JB in the bridge runs hot Which is perfect for speed medal. Grover Mini Tuners fit with headstock. Custom paint finish and matching case with extra case candy make this the best collector guitar for the price.

Musical Background:

I have been playing guitar For over 20 years jamming at home or with friends.

Musical Style:

Rock, Metal, Rockabilly, Blues, Country.

Bought this guitar less than a year ago, and it was very good until the unthinkable happened. A few days ago I took it out of the case to wipe it down and clean it up as I do with all my guitars weekly. To my unfortunate surprise I found that the neck had a crack starting about 6 inches below the headstock that runs all the way up into the head stock forking out and ending at three of the tuner holes. This guitar has spent it's entire life in a spare bedroom in my home along with many other guitars either in my hands or in the case. I am 44 years old I do not gig, do not travel with, do not abuse, and take excellent care of all my guitars, amps, etc... This guitar was not dropped, hit with or on anything, and has been very well cared for. It literally went into the case perfectly fine and came out with the neck splitting into two. I am now waiting for gibson to decide to stand beside it or throw me out in the back pasture. It is basically a $1650.00 dollar piece of firewood. ( the original cost that I paid before gibson lowered the price ) and I still owe three payments on it. If it was not for this it would have been 5 stars across the board. This is the second gibson I have purchased in the last 4 years that have had serious issues . I cannot recommend gibson products any longer and feel good about it. Funny thing is that I was about to spend $2400 on a j45 , guess it will be a new Martin instead. Good luck....
