Fender Vaporizer Guitar Combo Amplifier (12 Watts, 2x10")

This retro-styled 12-watt amp's Vaporizer Mode blasts crystal-clear EL84 tube tone with a dense spring reverb assault that bypasses the amp's volume and EQ.

I traded in a 90's Fender Hot Rod DeVille (which they gave me a fair price) for the Vaporizer. Sounds strange? I just don't use the DeVille anymore and I wanted something a bit different. The Vaporizer isn't anything like the Deville. Then again, what is? But, it's such a cool amp. Great tone, plenty of power for small clubs, and when I used it in Church I barely had to turn up--Acoustics in Roman Catholic Churches are AMAZING. It gives my Choir/band more depth in texture using the Vaporizer. Trust me, I'm very picky when it comes to tone and this this is right up there with the best. The only problem is, I bought it in red and my priest says it looks like a Budweiser. Too funny. I haven't used support but it made me rate it, I'm certain they're ok.

For the price, I dont think you can beat this amp. It has a amazing clean sound, and gets plenty loud enough for gigging un-miced. The reverb when turned past 12 oclock has a minor hum but isnt noticable when playing. I got the Rocket red and the finish is perfect. I have a roll of fender grill clot in wheat and installing it this week. I was able to get the amp with a 15% coupon so for $330 or $399 this one is hard to beat. I have a 72 super reverb that sits most of the time as I play the vaporizer....

IF you are hoping for a good amp WITH usable reverb look elsewhere. It is a good tube amp and has great tube breakup, handles pedals well and is an amazing looking amp. Once you start turning the volume up the reverb disappears.. I'm very disappointed in that. I was hoping for a good amp to gig with (Playing surf tunes.) It has a great reverb sound at low volumes however, making it a great recording amp. Really a good value, just don't buy it for the reverb like I did. With zzounds payment plan it costs as much monthly to get a Deluxe Reverb amp so you might as well! I'll probably just get a 63' reverb and run it into this. Overall, a great tube amp value that looks AMAZING, has it's own kinda sound (not Fendery or Voxish) and once the speakers get worked in you won't want to replace them. Hopefully a billm mod comes out to fix the reverb circuitry. (Also some people seem to gripe about the vaporizer circuit not having volume control.) **RANT OVER**

I love this amp. Sustain, and quality of sound is great. I was looking for an amp that had power, quality of sound, but was simple to use. The fact that it only has Vol, Tone, and Reverb works great for me. I get all me effect through my 3 effects devices. The only down side to this amp is the vaporizer foot switch. It kicks into overdrive with a vol of 10 which you can't control. I am sorry that this amp has been discontinued. It is a great amp, I just wish I could control the volume on the vaporizer switch.

When I first saw these Fender Vaporizer's on the market I just had to have one! With it's retro looks and simplicity it delivers vintage Fender tube tone and reverb. This is a great amp for the price. The tones are nice and crisp and clean. It sounds great with single coil and humbucker pickup guitars. It's very simple with only a Volume, Tone and Reverb dial. It sounds great at low volume as well. The Vaporizer feature is like turning the volume to full blast giving it a powerful overdrive. I find that since I cant' control the volume when the Vaporizer mode is engaged I use an overdrive pedal for overdrive. Still a cool feature if you can play loud! I own the Sea Foam green purchased right here at Zzounds.com The only negative I would say is the more reverb you dial the more noise. Another cool feature, when you turn the reverb to max and the volume all the way down. You have a distant reverb sound and a good more quiet level, like playing in a cathedral. It's a cool feature. I would recommend it to anyone because it's unique look and it really delivers the tone. For the money you can't go wrong. This is a keeper! Get one while you can!

Amazing tone. I am playing an '84 Squire strat with a Boss Blues Driver 2 distortion pedal and the sounds I get using the Vaporize are incredible. Seems incredibly loud for a 12 watt amp. From brilliant cleans to nice chunky blues, the Vaporizer is an amazing little amp and a lot of fun to play.

Played bass and a bit of guitar for years in many bands, many years ago. I am just geting back into it.

I just got this Fender Vaporizer amp in the rocket red color and I really like it. It has the best reverb I've heard yet. And has a really nice clean sound for anything you play. I play classic rock like the Doobie Brothers, etc. And smooth jazz and it really sounds fantastic. When you kick in the Vaporizer foot switch that comes with it, it adds some distortion to your sound but really gets loud. All in all a great amp.
