This product (the 140cd-sce) played great straight out of the box . It has a bright tone as opposed to a boomy dreadnaut tone, but then again, I haven't changed the strings yet. The guitar is beautiful . In some lights , it is a beautiful deep red, and in others , a smooth chocolate brown color. It has what I would consider to be a very low action , yet has no fret buzz.I've read that these guitars have quality control issues, and mine was no different. It has some blemishes on the neck near the highest notes on the highest string, where they seemed to have sanded it a bit too much , as well as some other very small imperfections .It feels good sitting down and standing. Overall, great guitar. People tout and review this as a beginner guitar, and while it certainly would be great for a beginner , it's also good enough for this 15 year player to enjoy for years to come .

I tried this guitar just because I wanted something to play that was on the budget friendly side. I had a Taylor which I enjoyed but just went through a phase and got bored and sold it. This Guitar I received when opened and tunned wasn't right the string would hit the fret and make a horrible sound when strumming I fixed the action on it and it helped but I guess u just get use to a guitar that is suppose to sound a certain way. I never got attached to it. Not a fan and it worked until I purchased a Martin which I played and liked and also got from my pals at zZounds. The guitar for the fast stuff we play at church was horrible but played slow worship very well. If u want a budget friendly guitar to start to learn to play and develop ur skills this will do just that. Just don't expect a lot of this guitar it is limited.
