Fender Blacktop Telecaster HH Electric Guitar (Rosewood)

With a glassy gloss finish and a hot pair of over-wound alnico humbuckers, this dark-horse Telecaster offers heavy sound and style for a not-so-heavy price.

Let's see how it holds up over some gigs. But like all Telecasters it's basically a end table with a baseball bat screwed onto it. (I love the body contour by the way)
Sound
Wow I am pretty impressed with this Tele. My last experience with Fender was with the Highway One Strat. Even after an excellent setup it would not stay in tune. Needless to say I was pretty let down. The sound on this is not perfect by any means but is pretty amazing for a 450 dollar instrument. It sounds much more like a PRS than a standard Tele. Much ballsier. That being said, even if you hate the pickups put in some after market pickups of your choice and you will still be under any American made Fender.
Features
Let me start by saying the paint on this is amazing. It is like glass. This is the best MIM Fender I have every played. I just have one complaint for Fender and it is a small one. Stop making strings. They suck. They have always sucked. Team up with Ernie Ball or Dean Markley and put some real strings on your guitars.
Ease of Use
Plays very easy. Of course it comes with 9 gauge strings on it so it is a little "Loosy Goosey" for my taste. Once I get it set up with 10's and drop the action a hair it will be perfect.
Quality
Like I said above I am very impressed with the quality of this guitar. I can't get over the paint on this ( I have black ).
Value
For 450 dollars this is better than any of the Highway One products 'Made In America"

I was more than surprised by this guitar. Not a mark on it. Took my time adjusting the neck after the shipping due to cold temperatures, and then had the frets trimmed and trued and action adjustments. Plays like a dream. Feels like I have owned it for years. Can't wait to plug it in, and can't wait to have my Bigsby installed. Thanks to zZounds once again for a great guitar at ta great price.
