Sound
sounds great to me...sitting here grinning like a kid listening to my mixes plus my favorite CDs! Brings a tear to my eye!
Features
I dig the multiple input options. Right now I'm using RCA, but I may change that at some point as my setup grows. These do what you need em to.
Quality
Totally solid. One small blemish on the front (where the ring around the speaker is), but I mean TINY, like the size of a pinhead...not bothering me at all
Value
Great stuff for the money...
Manufacturer Support
??? Haven't used them yet, so don't know

"Best value for the money."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I believe these TR5's will suffice for my application as a keyboard monitor. I have great headphones for mixing on my HD recorder but I look forward to hearing the final mix live with these.
Sound
I'm using as a live monitor for my Korg PA1X Pro. I like the fullness the TR5's give my vocals. Bass is fine and natural for all but the thumpers, mid-range is great and the highs are OK although I notice that the high pitched percussion items like the wood blocks and such you hear in Island type stuff doesn't cut though like they did with the small satelite/subwoofer setup I was using. I like the TR5's better for overall sound for my application.
Features
The TR5's are just basic monitors without a bunch of fancy setable knobs to confuse you. On/off and input sensitivity. The three different input options are nice. You can connect almost any device to them.
Quality
The cabinets are nice looking and all the connections and fittings are tight.
Value
I though these were the best value for the money. I paid $255 out the door for the pair.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed support yet.
The Wow Factor
No sex appeal for me, just the most bang for the buck in the price range I was seeking.

Musical Background:

Music major, studio musician before I got a real job, currently a shadetree musician.

Musical Style:

C&W, ballads, R&B, Island style, classic rock.

LIke "User: xxx@nomail.com" my pair of Event TR5's had some sort of ground hum. When I called Event, they where very helpful. They paid for shipping and had the speakers repaired and back to me within 10 days. I was extremely impressed with their customer service. Now my TR5 sound great. Sure, there's a little lacking in the low end but wtf do you expect, from a 5" woofer. Overall, these monitors are a the best in their price range. And most importantly, Event is a company that stands behind their products.
