Plays just as good as the EC-1000‘s do! I ought to know as I have one of those too. The tuners are decent but aren’t quite as good as the higher end EC models. As far as the pickups go, they are great for blues/rock and I even get a nice metal tone out of it surprisingly! The gold hardware is gorgeous with the glossy black finish and the coil tap feature gives some interesting tones as well. Overall, this is an AWESOME GUITAR AT AN EXCELLENT PRICE!!
Sound
Sounds great! Has a warm tone great for rock and blues. Wish it had a bit more of a bite for metal but it is sufficient enough for the price.
Features
The one thing that I want to change on this guitar is the tuners. I wish ESP would upgrade the tuners as it would make this guitar IMPECCABLE! The lh-150 pickups are great for blues rock which works well but maybe offering a 256 model with EMG’s??
Ease of Use
Playability is just superb, enough said!
Quality
Quality is just as I would expect from ESP/LTD. Spot on!
Value
Best $399.99 guitar currently available on the market.
Manufacturer Support
Support and pay as you play is so helpful! Love zZounds!
The Wow Factor
I LOVE the glossy black finish and gold hardware! A perfect combination! Not only is it a great music making machine but it’s beautiful wall art as well! I think it’s even prettier than my EC-1000 in satin black!

So I bought this because I was in love with the black with gold hardware and wanted a Les Paul-like at a good price. I watched the youtube vids on it and the reviews and no one ever said anything bad about it. It was a blem product which knocked a $100 off the price, but I still, after 3 weeks cant find the "blem". She plays INCREDIBLE. The tuners didn't "feel" to be a strength, but doggone those suckers are NEVER out of tune and I have 7 kids 3 dogs and one big clumsy Tom -cat who bumps it and such and it's always in tune. The humbucker pickups, which I wanted in a new guitar, are VERY warm and gentle, but I get a crazy metal tone out of it too. They are loud - perfect really and I have no complaint. I did a very minor truss rod adjustment. A GREAT BUY FOR THE PRICE and there is no reason this can't be a regular axe on stage or recording. I know we all want that GIbson or Fender on the headstock to make us relevant and look cool, but no reason one can't love this beauty too! I am going to get another soon

Even better than expected. I own Fenders and Epiphones but I cannot believe how much fun this guitar is. The fretboard radius is perfect. I received it, tuned it up, plugged it in and played for an hour and a half before I knew it. I am an old guy, but I haven’t felt so good playing a guitar and I own ten. I would definitely recommend this guitar. And I have to mention it is a gorgeous instrument. I purchased the black and gold model. It is a pleasure to behold. Thanks to ESP and especially to zZounds for the purchase plan. I am one satisfied customer. This is my second purchase from them.

Well these days you don't except much for the price range but I open the box packed very well and nothing broke that always a plus I unpack the guitar besides a dry fret board this guitar was ready to rock tuned harmonicly and started jamming its was so much better than my les paul custom lighter and seemed to have more access to the lower frets its worth the money I paid and thanks zZounds with your payment plan and 1 day delivery I can't say anything bad thanks johnnyo baltimore md

If you're thinking about buying it, do it!! The action is perfect, the neck is small so it's easier to play (for me). The action is low but not so low that you hear buzzing. It stays in tune well and has good tone nobs. And the splitting coil feature is good to have as well and it works great. It's worth the money. You're saving thousands if you purchase this guitar

Exceptional guitar in this price range. No fret buzz, no sharp fret ends, very comfortable to play. Coil split function is neat, though I have no use for it. Pickups are pretty warm, great for rock and blues. If you're looking for a metal sound you'll want to swap them out. Tuners are OK, doesn't stay in tune well doing big bends. With a few minor upgrades (tuners definitely, pickups maybe) this could very well be mistaken for a higher end guitar.

This guitar can do it all.. It is so easy to play,. The attention to detail is unmatched.. Stays in tune and can go from crystal clear, to warm and bluesy, to rock and metal with attitude, and with the coil tap, country sounds awesome too.. This guitar has a ton of features only seen in higher priced guitars
