I bought this starter pack solely for the purpose of hot-rodding the guitar.[My comments and "star ratings" should be viewed in context as a beginner's model and not comparable to my cherished Gibson Les Paul.]After adjusting the neck relief to remove some excess bowing and lowering the action, the guitar itself is a delightful little piece needing only the slightest adjustments to the intonation. The fretboard was smooth and the frets really well dressed for a "starter" model. The single ceramic pickup is bright and capable. It's no PAF but it's in no way "bad".The tuners are stable and the nut is well cut.The electronics are more than adequate; the pots are smooth and the input jack solid.I can't comment on the Rocksmith software since I already know how to play. The included amp is only useful as a headphone amp. The speaker sounds truly AWFUL.The included strap has cheap "pleather" ends that in time will certainly rip. Definitely get a better strap.I did find it necessary to remove that hideous pickguard and swap the knobs for a pair of amber top hats. The Vintage Sunburst finish is really quite attractive. Even more so once these minor cosmetic "adjustments" are made.In conclusion, this is a nifty beginner's axe and a terrific platform for modding, and zZounds is selling it for considerably less than other online retailers.

As a player for 12 years, I have owned many guitars. this one is not only good for students, but A pro may like it for a workhorse. I am enjoying it. Epiphone never disappoints me. Out of the box, it needed no setup. The built in electronic tuner is super cool! Seems Space age to me, but I love it! I love what Epiphone has done here.
