I've read the Eminence Delta's were based on Electro Voice speakers, and I know some manufacturers use them in guitar amps and cabs, including Evans and Raezer's Edge. I have a Quilter Head I wanted to use with my Gibson (humbuckers) for blues, and I was looking for a lightweight (Neo) speaker, so I thought I'd give this a try. I thought it would be too bassy, but I was wrong. I also thought it wouldn't be bright enough, but I was wrong about that too. If you want a nice blues tone, this speaker works great. I think it would work great for jazz too. It has a nice clear, even tone to my ear. Not quite as wide a range as an ElectroVoice but it has a similar sound. Your results may vary but it works well for me.
