Exceeded expectations.
Sound
Decent, brightish (possibly from unusual finish?) May use it for subtle doubling but I actually bought for the graphic and knockin around ideas around the housse.
Features
Double truss rod is great action adjustment was needed upon arrival but this feature made it a snap. Quality hardware parts all around, tuners etc.
Ease of Use
Great neck for an acoustic, plays fast.
Quality
Nice job overall, surprised, as the early Deans IMHO were not that good and my employment at a music store back then gave me a generally low opinion of them. This guitar has went along way to changing that opinion VERY good quality especially given the price range. Beautifully slick finish is flawless.
Value
Definitely.
Manufacturer Support
Never dealt with Dean but they seem to be much more than just a bikini marketed guitar company anymore if this guitar is any representation.
The Wow Factor
Great flawless finish and quality piece

"Surprisingly good"

Bought it for stage dressing, play it because it's more comfortable under arm than my concert acoustic. Sounds pretty darn good for something I bought strictly on looks. It's lack of electronics will probably keep it out of regular live rotation but it's fun to play around the house, I may even end up recording with it in spots as it has a different tone than my other acoustics.
Sound
Won't be mistaken for a Martin, but very good as these type of under $500 guitars go, even more so as the selling point on this guitar is cosmetics. Far out performs what I expected.
Features
Dual direction truss rod was invaluable -and worked to perfection- as the neck needed adjustment right out of the box. Tuners good. Not wired for stage but for the price who cares, buy it a mic.
Ease of Use
Once the neck was adjusted it plays great. Neck size and action terrific, especially for an acoustic. Playability 9.5.
Quality
Overall flawless, looks better in my hands than the photo. The finish is strangely seamless even at edges (lacquer-adhesive?) but it adds to it's slick look. In 20+ years never owned a guitar finished like this, seems sturdy enough, likely at least as tough as the typically fragile cellulose nitrate found on many guitars.
Value
Definitely.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed them.
The Wow Factor
Great looking piece, could've done without the little 'the player' emblem but the other 99% of the graphic/ paint is outstanding really jumps off the black.

Musical Style:

Hard rock/ metal dabble in everything else.
