These pickups sound better than Duncan 59 pickups I own and I also prefer the the the 57 classic Gibson pickups in my sg. I cannot recommend them enough. I'd love to compare them to boutique p.a.f.s ...i bet they hold their own. I wanted antiquities however the 4wire setup is what drew me to these because I wanted propper paf humbucker tone but i wanted to coil tap them to also get fender esque tones and I will say they sound awesome coil tapped
