I truly believe this is the best bang for your buck. Yes there are better Microphones out there but at a much higher price. What's not to like about these? Quality is great, they have a nice look and the price is unbeatable. I even got 15% off by having zzounds match a competitors discount. An A+ all around. I couldn't be happier. Some people complain that the plastic clamps tend to break when hit but why in the world would you hit them to begin with?

"Now What !?"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I am no sound engineer, in fact, I bought a bunch of Home Recording Studio Equipment so I could learn to do my own thing - I asked for info and did some research - A friend suggested I try these for my Drum Kit - Said I wouldn't be disappointed - I was disappointed though, I didn't know what I was doeing in this new Realm of Mixing, Recording, Mastering, EQ'ing, etc. etc., I decided that if I wanted to be as good as I wanted to be on guitar I would be 70 (Now 61)..So I found a New Guitarist and we formed a Band - BONUS - He knows a good bit about this 'Realm' and thus he started teaching me - We worked on a Saturday afternoon on my Kit one Mic at a time until the sound was perfect - I got it to a point on my own that was okay, but that is all it was - okay - I thought 'Maybe the Mics aren't that good' - Then, after I played on my Kit for a couple hours tweaking the EQ {Mackie 3204 VLZ3}, we recorded some tracks on my TASCAM 32sd DLP, I compared the new tracks with mine and man - night and day - so with that the Reiew Begins Right !? - These Microphones are simply Awesome - I was skeptical, {I am always skeptical}, as the whole set was like $200.00. And from my settings, I got dull, mushy, just okay sound - Joe gets Magic - Lol. I am impressed, I don't have any experience with Microphones costing several hundred or even thousands of dollars - but I cannot imagine that much difference in quality - And after all it is a "Home" Studio, though I do have some very good stuff, Pro-Tools 12, Audacity-(Joe turned me onto that), on a ASUS ROG Laptop that handles all the sound we throw at it with a yawn.
Sound
I have these placed in an unconventional manner - I have no bottom hardware on my Drum Kit so to help Isolate any Ambient Sounds, I have these mounted on the shell at the bottom, inside the Drum and aimed toward the center of the head - If you have never tried this, do it, sounds great with great noise cancellation - No Feedback, just pure clean drums.
Features
The Clips that come with them allow for many different placement options.
Ease of Use
Pretty simple, plug in an XLR Snake Cable (Pig Hog Fan Here), and run them to the Snake Base.
Quality
Seriously much, much better than I expected. They are sturdy, sound great, and easy to mount. I have had these now for over a Year with no issues whatsoever.
Value
OMG Yes, I mean, $200.00 for 7 Microphones, though I use Shure SM57's as my overheads - Sure, you can spend lots of money on Mic's, but I don't think you will find any better "Bang-For-The-Buck" than CAD.
Manufacturer Support
I have a large kit, so I bought a couple (3) used Microphones from my M&P Music Store, The Clips were missing but the Mics were in very good condition - I contacted CAD about the Clips, They sent me 3, for Free, and thanked me for having faith in their Product.
The Wow Factor
I can surely testify to this as I said, I have no experience in the studio, I thought I was doing okay until my Friend/Guitarist Joe performed his thang - The sound he was able to 'Tweak" from them definitely had me saying WOW ! These Microphones Rock

Bought some of these like 5 years ago when i started raking together my home studio space, threw them on a Gretsch energy kit with some $300 cymbal pack. Ran them through a a tascam 16x08 and boy did they suck lol. But i was terrible at recording and mixing then. The raw recordings these mics produce are decent enough to get by with even the most budget of preamps (interface). Nowadays i like the kick drum mic for bass cabs paired with an sm57. Sounds thicc. The mic kit itself more or less still holds up 5 years later. I tried to smash these things once, they look cheap and plasticky, but they will take a mean beating though the clamps did wear out and there is some drift while playing, nothing a rubberband cant fix. Theyre perfect for starting out and learning the ropes of recording a drum set on your own or for live sound im sure, or when you need to record a reckless drummer and dont wanna risk your nicer mics. I still use the included overheads along with some 57s, a 421, and a beta 52a but I’ll admit theyre a little brittle. Pair these budget mics with a cheap 8 analog channel interface, grab a copy of Reaper, some steven slate Trigger2 and dish out some decent sampled takes as well. These sub $200 mics can go quite the long way!

"Mics"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
These are durable mics that are pretty good overall.
Sound
The tom mics: seem to catch a LOT of bass, and proximity effect is noticeable. The snare mic: good side rejection, but I hear a ton of noise from the tom above the snare. I don't hear much resonance with this mic.The kick mic: it is OK, but it just doesn't thump if you know what I mean. I tried all kinds of mic positions (I even put the mic IN the drum once) but I couldn't get a powerful kick.Overheads: they seem to be very dry, but they pick up the cymbals pretty well. They also lack presence.
Features
The built in drum mounts are really good.
Ease of Use
Takes long to set-up, just like any set of drum mics. The mounts aren't like quick release or anything like that, but they are fine.
Quality
Very good, these things have taken some beatings and are holding strong.
Value
Compared to other drum mics, this set is a bargain. The mics are also very multipurpose so that's a plus.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't called, hopefully won't have to.
The Wow Factor
The black is a little bit cool, but there isn't much to the looks.

I am very pleased with this mic set. I am using them with an tascam us-1800. They work prefectly together. Does take a little bit to get the sound i was looking for when recording, however once tweaked I have to do very little compression within software. Nice and clean sound.

These drum Mics are excellent in sound! Used them for an outside concert and the sound was phenomenal! The only problem I had was one of the tom Mics wouldn't click the cable on so I had to tape it or it would keep falling out. Other than that there were no problems and again sound was phenomenal!
