This all myrtlewood USA made in Oregon Concert CE plays like a dream. The ‘Old Fashioned’ finish is on the dark side, but is shows the beauty of the wood grain & is stunning with the gloss finish. The quality is top rate. Out of box it played wonderfully. Feels like an extension of myself when I play. The hand voicing with a fundamental frequency of 100Hz, puts this guitar right in the middle of the 95-105Hz range. Sounds great acoustically, and the LR Baggs Anthem Tru-Mic pickup is top of the line. Sounds incredible through my Loudbox Mini Charge which I also bought from zZounds. (Great Amp too) Recorded it sounds amazing. No wonder myrtlewood is a go to for recording acoustic guitars. I can vouch for this. Great value for a US made guitar. Made in Bend, Oregon & tone wood sourced from same area. Check out how Breedlove handles wood & selection & you will see why this guitar is a must have for any serious guitar player who wants a made in US guitar that looks as good as it plays. The price is right as well, especially at $2,599.00. The bass & depth is like my Martin 000 all mahogany guitar, but the midrange & brightness of the highs add a broader dimension to this guitar’s sound. It is very responsive to my fingerpicking style & it sings. Do yourself a favor & pickup an ‘Oregon’ Breedlove. zZounds is awesome too. Great support. They actually pickup the phone in a couple of minutes & work hard to care for their customers. Shipping is fast & equipment arrives in great condition. Top that off with their payment plans & it is a no brainer to buy your Breedlove from zZounds, an authorized dealer of Breedlove. Buy now & enjoy. You will thank me. I hope this review helps you to get your hands on one of these dream guitars.
Sound
Sounds great for my fingerpicking & also with a pick. It moves me to play tbh.
Features
Quality components. The gloss finish shows finger marks from strumming, but I assume it will not be something that can’t be cleaned off. I will contact Breedlove to ask about this though.
Ease of Use
Out of box sounds great & plays well & with ease. Maple neck is like glass & fretting makes fingering chords effortless.
Quality
Well made & built to last a lifetime if cared for properly.
Value
It is worth the price & even better at $2,599.00
Manufacturer Support
