"Behringer strikes again!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I can't see replacing this amp, since it serves my requirements excellently (for all 3 or 4 bands I'm in). My previous amp has lasted over ten years (and I bought it used!), so I expect the same for the Behringer. I would replace this unit immediately (lost/stolen, heaven forbid!).
Sound
To replace my previous keyboard amp, I was looking for more headroom and power, both of which are there! I was pleasantly surprised however, that the sound clarity improved, so that I was playing live at my previous amp volume, but the sounds were clearer and better heard by the audience (feedback from audience members who had heard us before).
Features
The digital effects settings seem great for the vocal microphone input, however, I do not need them for keyboard sounds. The 7 band E.Q. is great, since I can take down the low boominess and hollow mid sound characteristics much better than individual channel tone controls. The XLR balanced outputs are very hot (as opposed to my previous amp, which always had the soundman complaining), and I do not require any D.I. box! Total input of 8 mono (or 4 stereo) channels is certainly enough for any multi keyboard/module set-up! The 2 recessed side handles, in addition to a top handle make it much easier to lift this unit (it's a bit heavier than my previous one)
Ease of Use
No learning curve involved here. All the features needed are here, and the manual explains how to use the fourth channel as eiter send headphone only, with or without effects, or set it up to function like the other 3 channels as normal output..
Quality
It's only getting a 7 here because.....This is my sixth Behringer products purchase, and was the only one with an initial quality issue. There was an intermittent crackle in the tweeter horn, irrespective if the amp was played loud or low. However, it was immediately replaced by my friendly music store, and that one is perfect.
Value
The cost/value ratio of this unit is unbelievable. I have used Peavey, Roland and Yorkville amps, and this one outperforms them all at a fraction of their cost!!
Manufacturer Support
It wasn't required, since the music store took care of my quality issue right away!!
The Wow Factor
It's an extremely clean looking unit, since the inputs are at the back, and the controls hidden at the top rear. I also like the slight upeard angle (as opposed to my old amp), which allows for better sound dispersion to the audience.

Honestly, I was skeptical about buying this amp because of the fact of the name brand. But after comparing the features and power to other more familiar name brands I just couldn`t pass it up for the price.
Sound
The sound is great. Lots of power, 7 band EQ helps each person to shape the tone the way they like it. Plenty of headroom.
Features
The features on this amp were key in my choice to buy it. Two XLR outputs, two 1/4" outputs, (Left/Right ya know) four stereo channels with one channel including an XLR input, a stand alone Sub output, 7-Band EQ, 24 bit effects with 100 different presets, Feedback prevention, Stereo Link for connecting two amps together which is awesome, along with a few other kool features that are only found on the really expensive models made by Roland, Peavey, Yamaha, etc.
Ease of Use
Simple to use
Quality
I think the amp is made very well. Nice exterior construction. I would determine the quality after a year or two of gigging.
Value
In short, this may be the best deal on the market.
Manufacturer Support
No experience but I will be contacting them soon in order to purchase an extended warranty which everyone should always do no matter what they buy.
The Wow Factor
The wow factor starts with the low price. That`s the first wow. The second wow happens when you see all the features for such a low price. The 3rd wow is when you turn the amp on and play through it. And the last wow is when you wonder how Behringer does it.

"Phenomenal Amplifier Behringer K3000FX"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Bought this Amp after a thorough research. Zzounds was astounding in beating the lowest price, no sales tax, and even letting me pay in 4 installments. It arrived a bit late after sitting near my house at FedEx for 3 days. Zzounds is really doing a tremendous service to the average buyer who needs a little break in their budget and enjoy the ultimate in sound. I am getting ready to add more pieces from Zzounds soon.
Sound
Sound quality when tweeked to your accoustical area is just out of this world. I really do not need this much sound for the Karaoke and Keyboard playing I use it for. But knowledge of the weapon I have to cater to any occasion, is power. I have never opened up any more than half the volume and the crisp sound this amp produces is so life like. I have hooked up a portable DVD player (for Karaoke singing), Mics and a keyboard to this baby and it sounds out of this world!
Features
I love the 7 Band Graphic Equalizer that I can adjust the sound to my taste at any given location. I use SHAPE often as it just brings up crystal clear clarity to enhance the sound even more. FX effects are definitely a compliment to this creation by Behringer. You carry this box to your gig, you have carried almost an entire band. When you press the keys on your synthesizer, the sound that comes out of this just makes you want to dance. I decided to add a Behringer QX1222USB mixer to this bad boy and make them do much more. This mixer is the least expensive one that has a VOICE CANCELLOR for Karaoke parties.....Buy these for this incredibly low peices and add some real depth to your lives!!!!!
Ease of Use
Play with it. It is so easy to use. I have equipment pieces that is 30 yrs old (Radio Shack stuff) and takes too much time to load/unload setup/breakdown and wires going up in the yang yang. This is one piece and it does it all with ease and no more wires everywhere. Right out of the box this is your dream machine to take you to Lala land.
Quality
Excellent quality that looks so durable. A bit heavy at 65 lbs but when you hear what comes out of this is all worth your while. Buy the Behringer XM8500 mikes. A few extra can be had for this price. Affordability when piggy backed with Quality, Behringer has become my bossom buddy now. Money you save with this......use it to buy a second Amp and inter connect to get true stereo sound quality. Absolute stunner over all quality in all aspect. You just cannot go wrong with this awesome amp.
Value
Price is absolutely right. A must to every household.....you can do so much with it. You can do a Karaoke gig for a small price. you can add depth to your regular in home entertainment by hooking up a few basic things. Have a B'day or other party? provide the music to the whole party and add announcing too. BBQ? take this sucker outdoors and liven up your taste buds. Take it to your childrens Little league game and entertain the gang. Carry this to your church or religious function. Just plain and simply Rock your souls right out of this Behringer box.
Manufacturer Support
Did not have the luxury to use them.
The Wow Factor
Power and clarity of sound that enables you to bring Life like performance to any event at a price like this.....you want to scream with this. It is a steal.

"Bashers go home and play your high priced toys."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Can't think of any reason to replace it with anything else, unless it totally craps out. Even then, I expect I'd get it fixed in warranty, or buy another one out of warranty. Just a few small gigs and it's paid for (I play for free too.)
Sound
I use this to amplify my keyboard drum machine, acoustic guitar, bass, and electric guitar effect board...also vocals. The drum machine, vocals, and one of the guitars will all be simultaneously amplified. The bass is gut wrenching on the drums and Bass guitar, and the vocals are crystal clear...as is the acoustic guitar. The electric gutar effects are other worldly. Way more than I expected.
Features
I have a 12 channel mixer, and the only reason I use it is for more vocal inputs. Otherwise it is feature-packed. I have even stereo linked it to my gmx212 guitar amp with great results. I may get another one and use it for a stereo PA dirt cheap.
Ease of Use
Totally a no brainer except for one small glitch...no explanation of the effects, regarding what the individual settings are. This may be a packaging department slip-up. I have other behringer equipment with effects, so the label on the control panel allows me to fumble through and find ones I like. I do need to e-mail them about this...saves time when yoiu are looking for a specific effect.
Quality
This is a gorgeous amp. Everything is as it should be, and zero-defect out of the box. No cheesy feeling knobs or switches, either. Behringer bashers take note. It does weihg a ton, though. Still, the side handles make this pretty easy to live with...that's what the bass player does, we share the load with his amp, he shares the load with ours.
Value
No doubt this is the sleeper keyboard amp on the market. The bashers can go ahead and pay more. This is the highest value for my dollar, hands down.
Manufacturer Support
No experience with this at all.
The Wow Factor
Looks as good as any of them. The black "carpet" covering and contrasting control panel look great to me. Other than that, it's another combo amp in my gear.

"Drummers Listen Up, YOU NEED THIS for a MONITOR !!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
The only thing i want now is ANOTHER ONE. It has stereo link in's and out's so you can link it to another one and have stereo.
Sound
Bought it as b stock for a drum monitor, the grill was popped in a little, big deal, this amp rocks, takes my kick drum hits ( i play all pads and triggers) great and is for sure 300 watts. The built in 4 channels is great, at an outside small gig, i ran the bass / keyboard player into it also and it kicked butt. Now he wants one (as soon as he sells his overpriced Roland).
Features
The EQ is excellent, removes feedback great. the 4th channel can be sent down the DI out, or to the cab, or both. built in FX make the drums fatter, the built in DI (and in stereo i might add) is a very nice addition. the enhancer is a cool addition, really fattens up the sound, plus tape in and out and 1/4 main outs too? what more do you need.
Ease of Use
Plug and Play baby. I run my Yamaha dtxpress 3 kit to the amp, run the main mix back to another channel for vocals, can run a click if need to channel 4 and no one can hear it but me. Super User Friendly.
Quality
I use it 3-4 gigs a week, has fallen off the cart once(roadie proof), in and out of the truck 4-5 times a week, and never misses a beat. Touring drummers listen up, your sound guys will thank you if you show up with this rig, all the guys I work with are IMPRESSED.
Value
This thing smokes the Roland at less than 1/2 the price. And every time I show it to another drummer and they hear it, they want one.
Manufacturer Support
I have use Behringer for Years, the newer products are better all the time. This amp can take low digital bass drum hits and never sound crunchy or distorted. This is my dream monitor. lots of extras you don't get on other amps that are twice the price.
The Wow Factor
Small for 300 watts, Light weight, and Powerful,

"Multi-purpose, quality amp"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I got this amp mainly for playing keys and it is stellar for that. Great tone and spectrum. While I got it for its intended purpose, you must know, this piece can DO IT ALL. I enjoy all the inputs that it has for anything. I use the K3000FX for all kinds of things from keys and vocals, to guitar and bass, all the way to my e-drums kit. It can be used as a PA or as a monitor. Plus the onboard mixer with EQ and effects is sweet and needed for all its capable applications. It sounds best with keys and bass, which is to be expected, but it can cover it all for me. This amp is HEAVY though, as most keyboard amps are. I decided to mod it a little in the 'ease of use' department. I bought some caster wheels from zzounds and installed them with a drill and a screwdriver, which I recommend. It made it more of joy to work with now that it glides effortlessly across any stage. Still gotta lift it into the vehicle, but at least i don't have to break my back carrying it there too. Lastly, since this amp doubles as a PA, you can get so much use out of it. Sometimes I wheel it out and just use it as a boombox for parties, a boombox that trumps all others lol. All I want to do now is get an amp stand for it, so it can project more for performances. It sits low to the floor, even with wheels and the beautiful sound just falls to the ankles. Get it up to ear level and your ready to melt faces. All in all, I love this amp. In my opinion, it competes with the 'gold standard' of keyboard amps which would be the Roland KC series. I think it actually wins in some areas, i.e. effects, mixer. And at the cost, you could almost get 2 of these for the price of one KC 550 or 880 lol. Have had Behringer before, they are built to last.

"Saved my hide at a wedding!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I was DJ-ing a wedding on 3/28/08 and suddenly, my Peavey DPC1000 kept clipping. Long story short, the cooling fan stopped working and the amp was overheating. Luckily, no one really noticed because it was during dinner. I went into my van and broke out the Behringer K3000FX, put in on top of my subwoofer, ran a RCA wire from the mixer to the Behringer and I was back in business! The music sounded fine with plenty of mid-bass, clear mids and highs (The sub took care of most of the lows.) Needless to say, I made it through the night using a powered sub and the K3000FX. I do not play a keyboard nor am I in a band, but I purchased the Behringer as an auxiliary PA/backup system for situations like this. Thank you Behringer!

I have had this amp for about 1 year and can recommend Behringer. I like this product so much that I am purchasing a Behringer GMX212 guitar amp and Behringer BXL3000A bass amp so we don't have to have everyone go through the same amp.
Sound
This is a keyboard amp but works great for practice and a monitor for my electronic drums and it handles bass drum (good deep attack and sound) and cymbals sound great. This amp was purchased as a electronic drum amp. We have run Drums, Guitar, and Bass throuh this keyboard amp with great sound for each.
Features
We run drums, guitar, and bass through this for practice. We really like the 4 separate channels.
Ease of Use
This amp is easy to use.
Quality
Great sound for alomost all instruments including drums, guitar, and bass. Solid amp w/o any problems.
Value
Excellent! I have purchased other Behringer products and have found them to be excellentfor the price.
Manufacturer Support
I have had no need to use support.

Good design and features!

"All around great amp :)"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i got this for my birthday a year ago and it has been amazing since. It is great for playing music, and has that tight bass that a keyboard amp needs for it's low notes, and to power songs. while listening to bassy music, i usually push the 63hz eq knob all the way up and it sounds great. while playing other types of music (classical) however, you don't want to have that up all the way. :) it is great as a mic speaker too, and it comes with 99 on-board vocal effects that sound great, including hall/room reverb, delay/echo, chorus/flanger, phaser/pitch changers, and mod + reverb and mod + delay. My favorites are the pitch ones that adds a 3rd or 5th above your voice so it sounds interesting. I also love the one that adds a low bass a couple octaves down to your voice, and makes it sound epic. The echo is epic too. All these effects are great for parties. The effects knob is a scroll and push knob, so you can turn it and find the effect, and then push it to engage it at the right moment from the previous one. It has a very important feedback detection (FBQ) that will cut the feedback very smoothly before it rips out your eardrums. It's good to always have that button on. The master volume knob is quick and easy to use, and the 4 input volume and effects send knobs arer intuitive and easy to use as well. Everything feels very solid and durable, and the knobs have a very sexy smooth weighted feel to them. This amp is great not just for keyboards, but for playing songs live at your gig, or at a house party (I can't imaging a better speaker for a house party). The bass is great. The 7 eq knobs are great for adding crispness to your mic and adding that mc-like bass. The handle on top is really only needed when you have one person carrying it, which you should never do, because this baby is VERY heavy. Two people, each one grabbing the handles on each side, cuts down the weight amazingly and is actually easy to carry with two people and the weight spread out. The only problem I've had so far was that my friend's dad tried to pick it up by himself, even though we offered to help (he was like no, no i got it), and grabbed the handles on each side and lifted it up with the front cage pressing his stomach. He carried it to the car and put it in, and we learned that he had popped the front cage and inverted it in. When we got home, it was a quick fix by hooking a wire through a hole in the cage and pulling it till it popped back out, good as new. Even though it sounds great, it can't be used as a monitor in a studio for anything other than a subwoofer, or using it to connect a subwoofer to and use the eq on it. It won't give you reliable mid volume levels, because you won't be able to hear every detail. The highs are also a bit inaccurate, but that just makes it even better playing live. However, i could imagine if you compare it to a monitor and eq the amp just so you can make it work. overall GREAT amp, get it just to have it for bass pleasure BUT BE CAREFUL. This amp is very powerful, and i have had one or two volume mishaps that left my ears ringing. It is so powerful that I actually hear the radio (softly) through it sometimes when it's very quiet :)

"Good amp, good value"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I expect to use this as my home/small gig/studio amp for the foreseeable future. I will really need something with more power for larger shows, though. It serves nicely for any venue where a standard drum set would be too loud. It has the perfect balance of power to back up an acoustic show at a coffee house without drowning the other instruments or guests.
Sound
It has a very clean sound with good bass and decent mids. I use it for vocals and electric drums (metal, punk, and rock).
Features
The EQ and the "effects" are awesome - it lets me use an effect for the overall sound, and then drop it or raise it for a specific channel. For doing vocals and drums simultaneously this has been a huge benefit. I can get slightly open sounding drums and very intimate vocals at the same time.
Ease of Use
It doesn't get a lot simpler. Plug in, attach equipment, play. No stupid cord designs (it's compatible with the standard computer power cables in a pinch), easy to carry and move. The carry handles are huge and well built.
Quality
I am currently on my second amp of this model. The first one died within 20 days of purchase and began cutting out and producing only pops and crackles. The second one has performed fine... so far. The build quality seems ok, though. Heavy, nice feeling controls, no cheap feeling parts.
Value
This is a great amp for small areas. It can mix smoothly and well. GREAT value for the money (compared to the dramatically more expensive Roland amps). Make sure you get a warranty.
Manufacturer Support
When I called in for support on the first one (that died) the product support was excellent. Long hold time, though.
The Wow Factor
It is pretty, looks fairly impressive, and sounds awesome. The design has no real stand-out looks, but compared to the Roland it looks and sounds better.

Sound
This is my first outboard amp and was leary that it could be any good as it has twice the power for half the price of other amps. Wow! At 60% I rattled the walls and windows. All the features were a bit intimidating at first, but one can definitly have fun tweaking them. I was pleased that there was hardly any signal noise. The quality is so full, I don't mind the monophonic (I use my headphones to keyboard for that).

Ok,here's what the reviews aren't telling you..this amp maybe good for keyboards, and even as a portable PA,.. But it also makes one of the BADDEST 7 STRING GUITAR RIGS,I'VE EVER USED! the aEffects section, is INCREDIBLE,& the harmonizer that's featured, gets a VERY CONVINCING Steve Vai Eventide sound..I run my Carbon 7 STRING thru a V-amp pro, into the K3000,and the sound Is SO full, and rich in harmonics. The full range of the 15 coupled with the horn, gives the 7string a lush, yet clear bottom enhanced punch. I would HIGHLY recommend this amp to any guitarist who plays in the lower registers..and for the price, you can afford 2; run those bad boys in Stereo!! Just giving another take on the immense versatility that this amp posesses.

GREAT SOUND I really like the K3000FX, I should have bought one sooner. I mainly got it for a keyboard amp for my Yamaha TYROSIII and the sound is very good and lots of power. I'm really impressed with the P.A. function. Vocals come thru with astounding quality. I now it use for practice at home for keys and vocals. On stage with drums and guitars it comes thru great. It is a little heavy but that is to be expected. They might consider casters. Doug Astor Fl.

I use a Nord Stage 88 ex and you need a wide range of frequencies which the amp has. It's the best Keyboard amp I ever had. Ialso own 2 Roland amps
Quality
I have'nt had any problems - my sound tech says it's not the easiest to work on but for price and the 1 year warranty you can't go wrong

"Be aware of its huge size which gives the good sound"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
The amp is a great addition to my home which I bought for my Yahama MM6 Music Synthesizer. The bass is really realistic when I play drum using MM6. When used with Yamaha APX 900 electrical acoustic guitar, it works beautifully.
Features
I really don't hear the difference between all 100 preset settings. But, I am only interested in authentic representation of music, I did not mind. Be sure that you realize HOW BIG this amp is. My wife almost made me returning this unit simply she was shocked by its size.
Ease of Use
It is easy to hook up. But, it is very heavy to move, making it not really portable.
Quality
OK
Manufacturer Support

The Wow Factor
Even my wife wants it, despite of its huge size.

I've enjoyed this product for about 8 years now with ne glitches, and I use it almost every day. I have my keyboard, mics, and recently a laptop connected to it and it doesn't flex a bit. If I wasn't so old, I could hit the road with this thing.

This amp is great. I use this to run my VG-88 on one channel my GR33 on another and the acoustic output of my Godin Xtsa on the next. It also serves as a very loud and great sounding vocal monitor that added much to our live sound. The sound quality is great.I plan on purchasing a second.

"Behringer K3000FX Ultratone Keyboard Amp "

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I had to return the first one cause it had a dent in the chassis on the rear. It worked fine but Behringer recommended I return it since it had suffered blunt force trauma somehow. This is a good amp for the money. You get more than you pay with Behringer. It is lacking Phantom power. I Like the simpleness of controls Resembles the Peavey KB series. It does not have the bass wow factor of my Peavey KB5. I think the dual speakers and horn on the KB5 sound a little better. It is easier on the back than my KB5 and I really don't like the handle and rollers on the KB5. They are clunky. I also like the fuzzy finish more than the vinyl. I don't blast it so I couldn't tell you about the bass at higher Db's. I use it in my living room with a Roland Juno Gi. so I don't want the Ladies stuff buzzin off the niknak shelves. If I want more bass at low volumes for the Floyd stuff, I just hook my 125Watt Subwoofer in the handy sub out port. The amp's sound is clean and there are no hisses as reported in the lower model Ultratones. As for the missing phantom power, my Juno has a mic port with phantom. I need the large speaker amps to get the nice sounds from my synth at low volume. I have tried the little super monitors and little wonder amps. I don't even like the little Rolands. Maybe my old ears flap over but I know what I like and this amp does ok by me (keeping my subwoof handy.)

Sound
I recently purchased this for my v drums & it sounds great. Wish it had a little more high end but it does what its supposed to
Features
This unit is very versatile. When not using with the drums, I use it for a PA system. Has the adequate effects to get the job done
Ease of Use
Just plug & play. EQ to your desire & you're ready to rock
Quality
I haven't had a problem with it yet. Behringer isn't the the top of the line but its not the bottom of the barrel either.
Value
For the price you pay for this, its worth it. Its less expensive than the Roland kc-550 yet pushes more power. Can't ask for anything more

"Great PA for rehearsals. Might work file for a small venue as well."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
For our small rehearsal space, we needed a way to clearly hear the vocalist without setting up a large PA. Our vocalist runs her voice throguh a TC Helicon VoiceLive, which we then run into two channels of the Ultratone. The 15" speaker gives a nice full range on the voice.
Sound
We are using this as a PA for rehearsals. The sound quality is excellent and there is plenty of power. We've also run an electronic drum kit into it and it sounds great for that too.
Features
Having 4 inputs is useful. Channel 1 has an XLR and 1/4". The other 3 channels are 1/4".
Ease of Use
Very easy to use. Plug in, set levels and you're off and running.
Quality
Built like a tank. Great appearance. A little heavy, but has side handles.
Value
Great price, great product.
Manufacturer Support
We've got a lot of Behringer gear. Support has been available and good when we've needed it.
The Wow Factor
Great looking product, great sound, reasonable price.

"Caveat Emptor. Smells good and goes down easy, but see what happens tomorrow. You laugh now but wait 'til you get home. Pig"

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Will continue using it until it either sells/trades/or breaks down. Realistically, I'm going to look for a bass combo unit that has a great eq built in/tweeter with a defeat or attenuator switch built in/200 or more Real watts not behringer watts/probably a two ten or one fifteen driver for low end. At stage volume the bass cabinet amp response should be just right to carry the low end and have just enough midrange to hear the rest of the sound at live performance volume. As stated above, if I can't get rid of it, will most likely buy a full range bass head and convert the behringer into a speaker cabinet with added tweeter attenuator. It does sound well in that regard.
Sound
Ive had three of these and two of the k1800fx units. Used for several years at low to medium volume levels in rock bands. In the last week I had the occasion twice to use at almost full volume- this is using All 4 channel inputs with no amp effects. Mono on one channel is thin. Stereo into one channel is even quieter. Put mono into all four channels and you have a decent sound finally. Once you add the amp effects, the input led lights up and if you add just a little more effects the clip light starts flashing red. Apparently the fx amp circuitry must also be included in their behringer amp rating. Must conclude the four channels are in series somehow but only an authorized behringer repair technician can clear that up for anyone. So, in order to get a good full sound I have to use my keyboard left/right and also headphones output into the thing. I don't use the fx and do not use the shape button which adds some low end boost. Back to playing live loud. Did keyboard bass for two hours and burned out the speaker. That is when I found out nobody can touch behringer keyboard amps because nobody has access to the schematics or replacement parts except factory authorized repair centers. Rather than waste time and shipping I replaced the speaker myself. I live 2 1/2 hours away from the repair center. Played with another group and at stage volume the amp was so shrill even the lead guitarist who plays way over 11 was complaining to me with my little single combo amp. Subsequent to that, I unsoldered the tweeter and also exchanged the new replacement speaker with a bass driver with about 1.5khz lower frequency response. Now it finally sounds acceptable at loud volumes. I eq both the amp and the keyboard for each sound btw. There is a HUGE difference between garage levels and on stage big volume levels. The nice hifi full frequency sound becomes an ear shattering painful experience with no sonic value. I'll give it a 9 for sound but only after the alterations needed to make it decent. It does handicap the low volume tone, however but I can't figure out a way to have both without a tweeter disconnect switch somewhere built in.
Features
Stereo link is great, but only if you are willing to use the smallest wattage output available. Good for low volumes. Terrible once you turn it up. "Sub" out is nice- a mono full frequency output Line out 1/4inch and xlr outs are also very nice. EQ is ok, wish it had larger attenuation and output levels-On the plus side, I am able to play keyboard bass samples with keyboard effects and shape the sound to replicate an electric guitar. The keyboard guitar samples are all too thin and cannot be eq'd to sound good. This is on a $1000 synth keyboard by a major manufacturer. Efx-kind of silly really. No parameter adjustments. They also will leak into the sound output-I leave it on 11 with all efx levels on zero and it is almost silent that way. Put it on flange or similar and you will hear it whining away in the background in between songs.
Ease of Use
Interface not intuitive-no schematic available to any buyers. Learning curve is steep-I had to do a lot of internet research to figure out the amp is only 75 watts per channel instead of 300 as listed. No wonder people are blowing up speakers and tweeters- they have been "mispoken"to by the sales department. That's what Hillary did, wasn't it when caught in a lie? Manual is not clear- it says 300 watts but doesn't say where they are located. Certainly not in the usual amp configuration.
Quality
Burned out one speaker and had smoke coming out of a second k3000fx. They are good as long as they don't break because you are at the mercy of shipping fees/time without your amp/official behringer replacement parts that the factory repair people have to get for your repair. If I can't sell my last one I will probably convert it into a cabinet speaker and run a bass head into it. The cabinet is well constructed as far as particle board work is concerned. The side handles are excellent and come out easy to view the insides. The front speaker is mounted with only four screws instead of eight. It does have threaded metal inserts for the screws to grab so that is nice. Front speaker grill is excellent. The holding screws into the particle board can easily strip the particle board so be careful with them. you have to drill another hole once that happens.
Value
Excellent value as long as you accept this as a throw away amp. You really are taking a gamble with future repair issues once you buy this thing. The fast food music chain stores all seem to know about its shortcoming after I tell them my stories but were all mum when selling me this excellent unit that has so much to offer blah blah.........
Manufacturer Support
I emailed behringer regarding the channel one hiss asking if it was due to the xlr circuit and/or the continuous phantom voltage output on the xlr. Also asked for schematic information and how they rated their keyboard amp since it sounds so thin using only one channel. Their response was they had no information of any kind and I was to look up the nearest suthorized behringer factory repair center and contact them for any information. I live 2 1/2 hours away and did not want to deal with any further contact with behringer.
The Wow Factor
Looks great. Has tons of features and applications on paper. Excellent unit for the chain music stores. Look at your local music store and you will most likely not see any in there due to long term quality and repair concerns. Awesome for someone just starting out and on a budget and won't really need any sort of high end performance output.

"Good value, Lots of features & I'm sure my Grandson will love it !"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Pls see above I have switched to Motion Sound Amps and when I finally obtain a new horn I will give this amp to my 7 year old Grandson for his Keyboards.
Sound
The Buggera 15" woofer does have it's limitations. It is difficult to get a balanced sound form the combo of a 15" woofer and a small throated horn/tweeter. To be fair to Behringer the sound is good for the price but I am prepared to pay more for a better KB amp. It would add around 40% to the price to provide a better woofer with a larger magnet/voice coil and larger horn etc.
Features
Features are very good. XLR Input, the classic Behringer Effects suite. (I have Behringer Mixers & rack mounted FX/Pedals and am more than happy with their performance/value) Multiple inouts & The EQ control are all good features. I use a Nord Electro 2 = don't need Distortion/Rotary Effects/EQ etc. (just gain & touch of Reverb)
Ease of Use
Very easy to use. Logical layout. A bit on the heavy side = I fitted castors for long passageways but a pain on stairs. I also have a Motion Sound KBR-3D that puts any other KB amp to shame. Much more sound evenly across the spectrum VS the K3000X but it costs 5 times as much as the Behringer ! The KBR3 is heavier again of course so for Gigs up/down long flights of stairs I use a Roland KC350 which isn't even close to the Behringer K3000FX or the MS KBR-3D in terms of power.
Quality
I would have given the Behringer K3000FX a "9" for quality except that the Horn Blew on the second gig. I have never replaced the Horn and the amp acts as a subwoofer in my home studion = I use the Motion Sound Amps for KB now.
Value
For the power (really 150 to 200 watts RMS) and the features this amp is pretty good value. Just go easy on the Horn !
Manufacturer Support
The place I bought the K3000FX couldn't help me with a new Horn as the Warehouse holding all of the Berhringer stock had gone up in flames. (True in Melbourne Australia)
The Wow Factor
Pretty plain jane but the value per watt vs features is what sells it.

Great sound, power, and features. Needed wheels because it is heavy. $15 casters at Home Depot solved that.
Sound
I found the tone to be warm and full sounding as compared to my Roland 550 which is to bright.
Features
Digital FX, 7 band eq, 300 watts. Where do you find another keyboard amp with this?
Ease of Use
It's a amp. No list for the FX but you can get it online.
Quality
The score is a little lower here because of the cheap knobs. I protect them with a little cover I built.

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I have had my K-3000FX with me on the road for just under 4-years. The first problem I encountered was the effects for pedal quit, then the volume pedal. One of the equalizer switches broke-off below the surface of the amp(which I seldom changed), then 2-more fell off(ditto). I used Yamaha Keyboards with a 1/4" cord(2), and about 2-months ago, the high/mid-range tone quality has been intermittently acting up(after: 3-1/2-years) . The price was right when I bought it, and it has lasted, so far with the intermittent problems. . .but probably it will have a life of 4-years. When it was new, and until recently, it has had an excellent voice! This was my third Behringer amp.

Behringer K3000FX Amp Customer Review

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Quality
I think this model is broken. I ordered one of them. As I got the amp out of the box, put the electric cord in place and turned it on, I heard a moderately loud noise coming out of the speaker. All the knobs were at zero. I first thought that it was some kind of electrical feature of the building of our band's place, but I was suspicious becouse the amps of everyone else were fine. So I played with it a little while and was not very impressed. 300W, what does it really mean? Our guitarist has a quality 120W or so amp and his knobs where hardly half of the maximum and he was much louder than this amp in the maximum levels. I thought that it was this particular piece that was broken so I sent it back to the shop and they send me a replacement. I now tried it at home, different place than before. The moderately loud noise was there again when I put the power on. And now at home it felt even more loud so I could definitely not use it in such a small places. This is just my experience. Maybe I had bad luck or something. Maybe the amp is not compatible with my country, who knows, but I'm going to go with some other amp than this.

"Behringer K3000FX - you don't get what you don't pay for!"

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will not buy another Behringer amp product, regardless of cost. I have other amps I've had for 10 years before they began to have any problems. This one died after 15 months.
Sound
Great sound putting both guitar and keys through it. The EQ allows fine-tuning for venue.
Features
The integrated DSP effects are somewhat limited, but when used in conjunction with a KORG footboard for the guitar, provides a good mix of sounds.
Quality
Had the unit 15 months (3 months after warranty expired) and it stopped working while on stage. Had power, just no sound. Repair cost was 50% of what I paid for the amp new. Not just me -- there were three others in the repair shop with the same problem. This is the only amp I've ever had die during a performance, so its left a sour taste for sure. Will be using it only for practice, and am using a non-Behringer amp for live performances now.
Value
Appeared a good value initially, but after paying 50% of the purchase price to get it fixed, you are better off going with the Roland model.
Manufacturer Support
Its obvious the problem is a production issue, since multiple of these Behringer K3000FXs are having the problem. Behringer should respect their customers by issuing a recall or free "fix". They are silent on the matter.

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars

Sound
Great sound and effects. Amazing clarity and decent volume although not quite 300W RMS as marketing claim says ... more like 120W RMS with 300W program peak power. But still great.
Features
Lots of in and outs, very good flexibility.
Ease of Use
Very easy.
Quality
This is a bummer it crapped out after 2 years, took it to three different shops and either got "can't be fixed" or would cost almost same to fix as a brand new one. Very disappointing.
Value
Ended up buying another one so I spent double which I could have used to buy a better more reliable brand in the first place without all the hassles and down time.

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I am pleased with Behringer's product. I plan on exploring some of their other products
Sound
Sound is crystal clear. It doesn't have a ton of low end, but it has plenty of mid-bass (snappy bass.) I used it to provide sound for a middle school talent show in a multi-purpose room that seats 275 people. Everyone heard it just fine.
Features
Plenty of inputs. I had an I-pod, laptop, 2 mics & an Alesis SR-16 drum machine connected and had no problems.
Ease of Use
Piece of cake to use, just plug & play!
Quality
Heavy, but seems well-built.
Value
I think it sounds better than a Roland KC 550. You can buy 2 Behringers for the price of 1 Roland.
The Wow Factor
This is a must if you play keyboard or just need a PA system.

(see rating details)
I can't think of a better setup without actually having a mic'd up C7 grand, B3 / Leslie, and a Wurlitzer 200A all going into the house system at Madison Square Garden =)
Sound
I've got a Nord Electro 2 and Yamaha P-90 going into this bad boy and it's great. Better and cheaper than the Roland (which I just smashed in a dumpster hahahah) especially cause the horn on this one doesn't blow once a year! =/ Anyway, all I look for in a keyboard amp is pure reproduction of the sounds from my keyboards... this does it. There's no overdrive, but hell, no amp is going to have a better overdrive for my organ than the one that's build into my Nord! I don't touch the effects or EQs because it's really unnecessary.. it's not like a guitar amp where your sound is really dependent on your amp. So like I said, for pure sound reproduction, this is it. Now if you have crappy keyboards maybe you don't want that pure reproduction hah.. Try it out somewhere with a couple different pianos. Just hit any key, let the note decay all the way and listen to the quality of the sample. You'll be able to focus in on the nuance and flaws of the different piano samples better with this amp than you would with any of the Rolands. I mean, what you're listening to is not stuff you'll ever hear in the mix with a live band, but I firmly believe that those sorts of details translate into the overall quality of sound an audience will hear. Like on my Nord for example, some of the electric pianos sound so beautiful and this amp keeps true to that rich, warm, buttery, mmmm... I wanna finish this review so I can go back to hearing myself play 'em.
Quality
I do worry about one thing and that's the knobs breaking cause they're long. What would be cool is if they were all faders like the EQs and on the side instead of top... hmm... I mean, if I've gotta jump off of my amp into the drums at any point, I don't wanna worry about where I put my foot! =)
Value
For the price (since it will be a couple years before I'm not paying for my own gear) this is the best amp I've played.
