"Great Professional Looking System"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

What I like about this setup is that you are basically covered for any size show because it is essentially like having (4) rigs in one. A) you can use (1) lone T-Bar if you find yourself with tight quarters B) you can use (2) T-bars in unison C) you can set it up as a 5’ Truss with or without T-bars Or… D) full 10’ Truss System with or without T-bars I have yet to use my T-bars but they came with nice heavy duty mounting hardware (bolts, washers, lock washers, & thumbscrews) which I wasn't expecting. The thumbscrews also fit the treading on my O-Clamps… which is nice because I lost of the originals. The stands themselves are much heavier/nicer than I expected. They are more than enough to secure the truss and I wouldn’t be afraid to throw my 75 lb Cerwin Vega’s on them either if I needed to use them as speaker stands. I would eventually like to upgrade to Crank Up Stands but this is about as good as it gets at this price point.
Features
Very sturdy yet super light weight
Ease of Use
As others have stated the manual is lacking but I figured it out relatively quickly.
Quality
Overall it is a good solid system but I dinged it a few points because not all of the holes line up as they should. You have to wrestle it a bit to get it all fitting together.
Value
For the money it is probably the best system out there.
Manufacturer Support

"Truss System is Light, Strong and an Outstanding Value"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
This truss system includes two strong tripod stands and "T" bars that alone are worth more than the price paid for the whole set. But the truss assembly itself is the icing on the cake. This incredibly light but very strong assemply is made of large diameter aluminum tubing with good joining hardware and nicely made aluminum tube webbing within the truss. I am sure the manufacturer would caution against this for legal reasons, but I bought two of these sets and in one gig used three five foot truss sections to construct one large 15' section which spanned the whole stage area. This looked incredibly professional and allowed us to hang lots of lighter cans and ropes across the stage along with some heavier effects closer to the stands. And all of this for a price of just a little over 200 bucks delivered (for both sets). Occasionally we are pleasantly surprised with products, especially when purchased essentially sight unseen through mail-order. But this product was much more than a pleasant surprise! It had a high "wow" factor!
Quality
This product arrived with all parts and everything fit together well and easily. Only suggestion to user is to just go over the machine screws to ensure tightness; a few were fairly loose. That took maybe 2 minutes and is easy to do.
Value
Incredible value. And as a working Mobile DJ I can say this looks like it is going to hold up well to the rigors of the "road". Very nicely made and light too.

"Great Price, Great Value... Get it!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

Overall this stand is very well constructed and is a great value for the price. You could certainly do worse. I would recomend this to any mobile DJ on a budget.
Features
All of the parts came and were very easy to assemble. The instructions for this leave a lot to be desired but, I figured it out. There was really no detailed instruction on how to join the two 5' sections together and I had to guess at it.
Ease of Use
As stated above, which is a minor issue, the instructions for putting the stand together could have been writen a bit better and with more detail.
Quality
Although it was packaged well... when I inspect some of the parts I can see dings and scratches in the finish.. nothing that a little can of flat black paint can't cure.
Value
This setup for the Mobile DJ is very reasonable and will certainly take your lighting setup to the next level.

"Great entry-level truss!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
This is an entry-level lighting truss. But, it's a very good entry-level truss.
Features
It's a lightweight, easy to use, lighting truss and stands that only takes about 5 minutes to assemble. It is very lightweight construction, so I wouldn't try any Eddie Vedder ape swings from it, but for a small working band, it is absolutely up to snuff.
Ease of Use
5 minutes. That about what it takes me and my drummer to stand this up. Truthfully, though, I didtched the safety pins that were included with the kit for some different 5/16" pins with no grooves. The grooves lock the pins in, but make it very difficult to remove them. Other than that, they are perfect.
Value
This kit is a steal. Very pro looking, very pro results, very amateur price.
The Wow Factor
This thing looks sweet on stage. It's painted black, and it's not terribly bulky. So Even setting it up out in front of the stage, it doesn't draw attention from the band. It's very practical, and is a good start towards getting your stage show up and running.

"awesome system for a bargain price"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I wanted to clarify that I'm not assessingthe sound of this product; althought the rating is based on sound. But as for the product itself, the rating should reflect its quality and ease of assembly. The delivery of the product was in a single box that was approximately 4.5 feet tall and was left at my door. It was actually not that difficult to move into my place and once I opened the box, it was just a matter of figuring out where the trellis' connectors were before I had the two tripods up and the rest assembled and standing. The quality is quite amazing for the price. I'm tempted to get another one. The color is black metal and has pivots for some pre-drilled holes to provide added support; however, it's not necessary. There are a lot of extra screws for mounting lights, spots, intell-lights, and other light to moderate weight equipment. I haven't mounted any of my heavier lights because I felt that the system was not that durable, so i'll have to test it later. But for sure, I wouldn't mount anything too close to the middle of the trellis' 10 foot hanging since the center is connected by a couple of connectors that may sink if there are too much weight in the middle. Otherwise, this was a great investment and I will probably use this for most of my small mobile shows.

"Outstanding Value For The Money!"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Features
Can't beleive how large it is! It will definitely take care of my light stand needs for now and the future. I like the fact that you can use just 5 foot of the truss span, or the full 10 feet for larger jobs.
Ease of Use
Easy to set up, but definitely helps to have an other pair of hands. Is a little cumbersome to set up by yourself.
Value
Great value for the money. Allows you to have a very professional look at a fraction of the price you would expect to pay!
