This guitar sounds great right out of the box. Even better with Elixir light to medium strings. For it's price range you are getting a great deal. The action is great and makes it easy to play. The tuners hold tune and the neck makes it even easier to play (another plus for beginners). I would definitely recommend this guitar for any beginner not looking to invest to much money into a guitar. It is also great that it comes with a hardshell case. Not the best of cases but it'll work and for the price you can't beat it. If you're a beginner not looking to spend much or just need a guitar you can take around town without worrying about doing some damage to that expensive guitar but want descent sound this guitar will work. As far as durability it seems to be holding up great and the case is doing it's job. Remember it's not a "wow" guitar and the workmanship is lacking just a little bit in the quality department but for the price it's good deal and you shouldn't be disappoint with the sound it produces. I would not recommend it for an intermediate to advance player who is looking to move up unless you're looking for a throw around guitar with good sound as I was. The sound is great, not top of the line guitar sound but great for practice.

I purchased the guitar as a birthday gift for my 14 year old daughter who recently has developed a desire to switch from electric to acoustic. Great quality and a great case with this model. I have played drums for close to 40 years and have been in bands for close to 30 years...I have seen and played many guitars over the years and this one holds up when compared to many more expensive models I have seen...if you want a great value priced acoustic guitar there is no need to look further, you will love this model...
