I know there are better headphones out there, but for the clearance prices these are going for I highly recommend you buy them at least as backups or for friends or family who haven't yet decided on a pair. You could save them from the gazillion of bass boosting, boomy models selling for 3 or 4 times the price. I own the K240's and there is a distinct difference in efficiency and bass punch. Specifically the 'oomph' of the low end - the sensation of pressure against the ear - is much more like listening to speakers - big speakers - than with the K240's, though they are open back models and with a bit higher impedance too. These are also comfortable and actually fit a bit better around my ears. Overall I highly recommend them, especially if you can find them at the bargain prices they are selling for right now. $39 here at zZounds.

Well I only use them for listening at the moment and I can't believe how great they sound. I think they sound better than the K240s and much more comfortable and private. I have listened to all kinds of music with them rock, rap, hip-hop country u name it they heard it and it just gets better. I would like to point out something I red in some other reviews is that they lack loudness and at first I thought the same thing. I had been listening with my kindle fire & tcl-xl phone but then I hooked them up to my DELL 2 IN ONE. AND THAT WAS WHEN THE WOW FACTOR CAME IN THE bass mids highs wher amazing so if you have this problem buy a portable headphone amp and you to will see & hear everything. Hope this helps someone.

One reviewer said they sounded hollow and lacking midrange. Well that is not true. I don't know if he is listening to rap or hip hop but these excel in the midrange. One thing these headphones do is lay bare a bad mix. I have listened to quite a bit of different kinds of music with these and they expose bad mixes. The highs are clear and airy and the midrange lets you hear instruments that normally get lost in a mix like acoustic guitars and laid back mid tracks. These phones play what was recorded in the mix. I am very impressed with the extended highs and the extended low end. Like I said, these play what was mixed and the midrange is there if it is in the mix of whatever song you are playing. They are a steal at fifty nine bucks!

These headphones I purchased as a backup. Overall the headphones price point was the best. The sound quality sound a little hollow and they lacked in the mid-range.
