As a events DJ I am a big fan of Djay pro software, so I have been using the Mixon line for about 4 years, starting with the mixon 4. As much as i love the software, their hardware is crap. The way you can use the ipad is awesome, but just like the mixon 4 the crossfader is garbage. I had to replace 2 in the mixon 4 and I already have to replace it on my mixon 8 which i just bought 2 months ago. The effects paddles are cool, but feel very cheap, but they do the job. Awesome that they added mic inputs, but at the cost of line inputs, And since you are using your line inputs for your mic you would think you could route it thru the software and use effects, but no. I get it no external effects, the the Kontrol s4 can do it and cost $250 less. The coolest feature of the mixon they didn't carry over to the 8, which would be the loop knob, The line on the eq knobs are gray so you can't see them when its dark, you have to constantly look at the screen to get a reference. I thought about taking the knobs off my mixon 4 since they are white can be seen easily seen. Why they didn't they make them white so you can see?their customer service is garbage. To get the replacement crossfader, I had to personally contact the US distribution and order one. Which of course they are on 4 to 6 week back order. And they haven't responded to my email regards to the warranty. I asked zZounds to let me trade it out for a pioneer compatible mixer and they won't even though I have spent over 20k with them,… read more they won't help me out. The product is garbage, the customer service is trash, and zZounds should do more to fix this. Or stop carrying the product because its TRASH
