I bought the bass amp version due to the combi speak-on/ 1/4 inch output that the guitar version doesn’t have. But I use this amp primarily for guitar. It works great, has been reliable and flexible for gigs and sessions.

Sound
The sound of this 300W head is great especially when using the line out with speaker impulse response files into a recording interface, board or powered Fullrange flat response PA cabinet. The ability to store up to 16 amp models is more than enough for a gig.

Features
The mist useful feature is the ability to import amp models from you desktop, laptop, or iPad. This allows for quick changes to the presets while prepping for a gig or session. The ability to control the amp via MIDI or blue tooth is a plus as well.

Ease of Use
If you’re already familiar with Bias Amp it’s pretty easy. If not , you will find the Bias Amp intuitive and full featured. But it’s something you can loose yourself in just playing with tone shaping. What I mean by that is the flexibility of the application leads you to tweak everything. So you’ll find you’ve spent an hour or two just having fun tweaking the amp settings in the app.

Quality
The amp is pretty solid. It does have screw holes in the chassi for mounting it in a half rack kit. Though I tend to just throw it in a gig bag.

Value
For the price, I would recommend read more this over a Kemper or Fractal. It can hold its own. It definitely outperforms modelers from Line 6 (Helix, Pod HD, and Pod) or Digitech (GNX series) I have owned, used and parted with.

Manufacturer Support
The folks at Positive Grid have always been responsive for support issues. I’ve never had an issue with support for any of their products I use.

The Wow Factor
It is utilitarian. The Wow is in its capability to perform just as a tube amp would. In that it can sag like a tube amp, it can clean up like a tube amp when rolling the guitar volume back. It can also sound like a solid state amp.

Musical Background:
I am a professional guitarist/bassist session musician with 40 years experience

Musical Style:
I play in multiple styles including jazz, blues, country, folk, classical, rock & metal.
